Hi BradMZ-- I tried what you said and it doesnt work (for me).. I hit write>stage setting and enter, the stage setting name comes up and says enter--when I enter it says replace (yes/no) and when I hit yes, it says complete. I dont see anywhere where it gives me the option to change the name. Please help! Thanks

Hello All-- Thanks sooooo much for your patience and explanations. I got the stage setting downloaded, so one more question. The stage setting is sent to wherever I choose to send it and I can find it at that particular stage setting. 1) does it erase the tone that was there from the original tone bank and 2) how do I find this new tone in the list of tones to the left. I do find it at the chosen stage setting but cant seem to locate it in the left hand list. Please clarify. Thanks again!!

Hi scott-- I downloaded the file to my computer but when I plugged the flashdrive in and hit the file it still came up with "there is no default appilcation to download this file". How do I get this file to transfer to my flashdrive so I can get it to the PX-5S? I FEEL LIKE A REAL MORON... By the way, I saw some download from a person named Jerry Kovarsky--Does he happen to come from NJ? If, so I may know him..... Glenn

Hi again Brad--Love the Band Grand piano download you created. By the way, what kind of amp do you play through. (I'm playing stereo through 2 roland 350s...) I know the amp also makes a difference.

Hi Brad-- The sample of grand pianos do sound like steinways--but, unfortunately for me, I much prefer the brightness of A yamaha grand. The samples on the privia do not sound that way--no offfense meant. I kind of like your piano sounds better--they're brighter--So Im looking for that bright, full, rich sound--I'd like to start by downloading your piano sounds. I'm terribly technologically impaired-- could you give me some quick instructions of what to do? further, where do the downloads go when uploading them to the privia? I do hope you don't think Im too much of a p.i.a. but I have a very discerning ear and know exactly what I'm listening for. Thanks for your help!

Hello and merry christmas--I love my privia and all that it can do, however, for me it is missing a true grand piano sound--something akin to a Yamaha grand piano--bright and crisp. The rock piano sound comes close however, has a kind of bellish sound (hard to describe). I tried E Qing but it still falls short. Is there a download for a more authentic concert grand piano sound, as previously described--and if so how do I download it and apply it to my keyboard? Thanks so much--I've been searching everywhere for this piano sound!!! Glenn

Hello again-- Im using a stereo AB box called the t-rex polyswitch. I will try to play at home with speakers cranked but I really dont think there was any vibration during the cut-out--I will check all connections though..... thanks---any other ideas will be welcomed! Glenn

Hello again....I just tried the same setup at home--through headphones, with the sk-1 set up to max volume--I played the privia pretty hard but got no cutting out?? Im puzzled? This anomoly happened at different location through speakers, with a diffeent midi cable. Is there anything here that could have caused the problem? Thanks and merry christmas! Glenn

Hello Jokeyman123-- To clarify, I am using one midi cable from my casio out to the sk-1 in. I am completely able to play the local sounds of the privia. This only happened with the flute from the sk-1 played by the privia. And as previously stated, it never happened in practice through my headphones, only in rehearsal when I played semi hard. I havent tried it with other sk-1 voices, but I can. Any other ideas???? Glenn

Hi--I have my casio hooked up to a hammond sk-1 via midi. I play the sounds of the hammond on my casio occasionally (not the organ sounds but the extra voices). I switch back and forth with an AB box to allow me to switch instruments in real time. Anyway, I had the casio playing the flute from the hammond, and when I hit many of the casio keys (a little hard) they wouldn't sound at all. This never happened before during practice, when I played through the headphones. Is there a reason for this? Is there something wrong with my casio? Please advise. Thanks. Glenn

Hello--the strangest thing happened to my keyboard. I've had it hooked up to amy hammond sk-1 via midi out to the hammond's midi in for the past 6 months--thus allowing me to play the sounds from the sk-1 on the privia. I transported it from a friend's house to my home and hooked it up the same way and nothing happened. After much noodling around, I went into the system anbd changed the midi in to off, from on and gthe midi out to key, from (midi). Now it works fine--I can play the privia by itself or I can play the sounds from the sk-1 on the priviua keyboard. What happened???? Did I change some of the settings without knowing it??? Hello--the strangest thing happened with my privia today. i've been playing it hooked up via midi out to a hammond sk-1 (midi in) for about 6 months now and after transporting it from a friend's house to my home, upon trying to play the midi sounds from my hammond on the privia keyboard, nothing happened--unlike the past 6 months. After much searching, I went into the controller and changed the settings: midi in from on to off; and midi (midi) to key-- and now it works again. What could have happened? I didn't change any of the midi settings before???? Thanks... Glenn

HI All-- could you please describe how to split my keyboard and assign a different tone to upper and lower and then store it in a stage setup? It might also be helpful to know how to adjust the place of the split..... Once i do the split, will the timbre of each key in the upper and lower be the same depending on location---and if so, can i adjust the octave of each split section so i can (for example) have basier tones in the left hand and more trebley ones in the right. (Please make your explanations clear because I am rather naive when it comes to this stuff...thanks for understanding!). Glenn
