Hmmm ... now I have sound via mic in (notebook), but it's only mono. Using a headphone on the Casio I got stereo. Using the Casio with the afore-mentioned USB soundcard (mic in), it's still mono. I don't get it ...
What can you recommend? Not too expensive, in the 50 bucks area. Played around with headphone out to mic in, doesn't work. Bought a Creative Sound Blaster Play 2 online yesterday because the notebook mic-ins are crappy anyway but I'm open to better sounding and lower latency alternatives.

I'd like to record what I play live using a PC/notebook. Can you do that only using the USB cable or is it necessary to use RCA out? My notebook only has mic in.

Scott, is it possible to use a USB-to-MIDI adapter, connect the PD1 directly to my PX-5S and can create phrases to be used in my keyboard? Sorry, MIDI is still new to me.
