  1. Ok, back in India with my casio px 560. So the whole repair, change of motherboard was useless! I did not know that there are two types of usb midi outlets! One for midi software only, and one for general usb software.... My behringer is model X12222USB. Now I found another problem with the new board: the arpeggio does not function properly. After going back to factory settings it works proper for as long you do not touch the one touch key on the display! Then you can not switch it off anymore. Second it changes the tone from piano into 024 VA SynseqBS1! IS this a software error or hardware? How to repair?

  2. Hi Brad, just got the SP-33 pedal. It is only for small feet. The length of the pedal, the space between the pedals all too small. How is this with SP-20? Have a look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piano_pedals where there's this picture of how they should be made! 220px-Steinway_grand_piano_-_pedals.jpg
Another problem is the tension of the spring. For operating with the toe (as I have to use with my big feet) the tension of this linear spring is much too strong. I feel it is better to use torso spring around the axe.

  3. Hi, since december I have a mal functioning usb-midi to pc connection. In device manager under computer in windows 7, it states it finds the casio-midi but has installed a microsoft driver. In my software i.e. audacity and anvil studio, it cannot find the casio-midi gate..... How to get and install the proper driver???

6.1.7601.18208 12-7-2013 Microsoft is the driver that is installed now. (Casio PX-560M)

In contrast how easy it was to connect my new Behringer mixer usb-midi output and input!

  4. Dear, my usb-midi  interface of my px-560 is seen by windows device manager, but does not show in any software, hence I cannot configure it. I did a system update, an init, changed to linux but nothing helped to clear this. Any tips? My new behringer mixer has also usb-midi interface and that works fine in all software applications. So it is not my computer, but some with the px 560.....

  5. Today found a strange situation: If my windows7 starts up while casio midi usb connected the midi file on my pc plays direct through usb and volume cannot be controlled: Extremely loud! The player I use is mediaplayer from gabest, also in windows mediaplayer...

  6. Just found the solution: went into the data editor of casio and without changing the mode I switched arpeggio on in common, and everything was back. After that I switched it off as it is is normal position, and phrase and arpeggio are still working. Something must have been reset other than by restart the piano. Maybe I switched the piano off one time before stopping the editor. I will be more cautious in future I hope.

Thanks for your swift reaction. I will look at your links later.

  7. HI, just created a stage setup for a laptop; this was my second construction with four legs.Photo0040.jpgPhoto0050.jpg Here my last lower smaller version with two legs only on top of my PX-5S. If you use a simple stage stand with tubes of 25mm this 32mm drain pipe construction will carry your laptop on stage! And it brings it close to your eyes! You can make it any size you like, and as solid as you like. My initial construction was more complicated than the final one ha ha. So here is what you need maximum: 2m 32mm plastic drain pipe, 2 FxF elbows 32mm, 2 MxF elbows 32mm, 6 FxFxM T32mm, 2 FxFxF T32mm, 4 fixing clip 32mm and an iron saw. With this you can make all the different models on the pics. Essential is the thickness of the tube of the stand being 25mm. Because that's the inner diameter of the FxFxM T32mm!! Two or four of these slide over the pipes on either side of the stand behind the piano to carry the construction. Here the fitting is so stable, that no glue is needed and that leaves you all possibilities for change.... Let the vertical carry pipes tilt a bit towards each other for stability! I still have to make hardboard cover in the final setup so I can use a mouse.

  8. I bought a gig bag from thomann.de for my px-5s. Nice quality although it does not have shoulder straps. Price 45€. In India I let make a gig bag with shoulder straps for my px-560 at Furtado's in Madgaon Goa for 2500RS (33€) with even thicker padding.
