  1. Studying the manuals, can ZTN tone files be imported as part of ZRM data?  (Since ZTN data are not listed as a  type of individual file that can be imported in the manuals only registration ZRM files which it says can also include other data such as rhythms etc...)  I'm wondering if by this means additional ZTN Tone Files, say from other Casio keyboards can be imported via the CT-X Data Manager.   Or will ZRM files only recognise the  CT-X tones or the embed-ed CT-X keyboard tones when ZRM files are imported?

  2. I'm trying to figure out the use of this function?   There's no mention of this function in any of the MZ manuals.

I think tones can be saved by say different users/players and recalled to the registration banks, but I must be doing something wrong as when I reboot, which is necessary to save preloaded Tones, designated area is still 'grayed out ?'

I'm sure my friend Brad can enlighten me  -and thanks

  3. On my CTK 7000 I tried to connect midi bass pedals that have a 5 pin midi DIN (out) socket only. As the CTK 7000 only has a USB midi connection I was advised I needed to buy a Kenton Midi Usb/Midi Din Host unit.  When I connected this unit inline between the keyboard and the bass pedals all I could play on the bass pedals was the default piano tone despite selecting different tones on the keyboard?

The midi channel on the bass pedals is fixed at CH3  - It seemed as if I could not change the midi channel on the  CTK 7000  to CH3 to match?

Any ideas as to what's going on?  Or is it impossible to connect the midi bass pedals because the keyboard does not have conventional midi 5 pin 'In' and 'out' sockets?

  4. You need stereo speakers to do justice to the PX560.  I use a HK Lucas Nano 300 because I don't like to hear any 'hiss' (white noise) when I'm not playing.    Before buying I auditioned many speaker/amps, some costing very much more, but found found that this 2.1 speaker set-up met my criteria regarding 'hiss' and is like a cross between studio monitors and stage speaker amps -ideal for small venues and is lightweight and portable

  5. I know a guy who went to a gig with his Wersi organ who had the same problem.   In the end the problem was traced to an electrical 'surge' at the venue when he switched on the organ ?  In his case blew some components on the motherboard !   As Casio supply their instruments worldwide maybe they have some sort of protection built in against electrical 'surges'  and can reset unlike this guy with his Wersi organ?
