I'm trying to figure out the use of this function? There's no mention of this function in any of the MZ manuals.
I think tones can be saved by say different users/players and recalled to the registration banks, but I must be doing something wrong as when I reboot, which is necessary to save preloaded Tones, designated area is still 'grayed out ?'
I'm sure my friend Brad can enlighten me -and thanks

Like BradgeMusicTube -I've had Tyros Yamaha and Korg, but keep returning to Casio 'boards -which I've had several. They may not be perfect, but their operating systems seem more logical to me than other manufacturers. Their Tones and Rhythms are cute and grow on you, and they are lighter in weight than most 'boards -which is important to me for gigging

Why don't demonstrators play any songs? -It's what people can relate to. -Isn't this why people buy keyboards ??

Kris has videos about dampening key noise by means of adding felt which he claims he does with all his keyboards

....and no standard 5-Pin Midi DIN 'in and out' sockets !

Thank you so..... much I must have missed the Appendix

Looking on the Casio European and Casio International websites I can't find the Tone List for this instrument prior to purchasing one? I've looked under Support, Appendix and Manuals.
How I can I find out the Tone List before I buy one?

As I no longer have my CTK7000 with SD Card media perhaps someone ( like tuxfriend who, like me is into Rhythm files ?) could covert these CSK Rhythm files to AC7 on their keyboard and post them back as AC7 downloads for the benefit of Forum members. -Now that would be great !

Thanks Ted for your full and comprehensive reply

I've just uploaded some more old CKF and AC7 Rhythm Style files to the Forum. Is it possible to convert CKF to AC7 files ?

Thanks Ted for your very detailed reply -It certainly has given me something to think about especially when you say the manual omits, or hides, the three designated midi channels re; Upper 1, Upper 2 (layer) and Lower (bass) (Ch1,Ch2 and Ch 3 etc)

On my CTK 7000 I tried to connect midi bass pedals that have a 5 pin midi DIN (out) socket only. As the CTK 7000 only has a USB midi connection I was advised I needed to buy a Kenton Midi Usb/Midi Din Host unit. When I connected this unit inline between the keyboard and the bass pedals all I could play on the bass pedals was the default piano tone despite selecting different tones on the keyboard?
The midi channel on the bass pedals is fixed at CH3 - It seemed as if I could not change the midi channel on the CTK 7000 to CH3 to match?
Any ideas as to what's going on? Or is it impossible to connect the midi bass pedals because the keyboard does not have conventional midi 5 pin 'In' and 'out' sockets?

You need stereo speakers to do justice to the PX560. I use a HK Lucas Nano 300 because I don't like to hear any 'hiss' (white noise) when I'm not playing. Before buying I auditioned many speaker/amps, some costing very much more, but found found that this 2.1 speaker set-up met my criteria regarding 'hiss' and is like a cross between studio monitors and stage speaker amps -ideal for small venues and is lightweight and portable

Thanks Rick -that's a helpful start. And thanks for the links to more Styles (Rhythms) in the last post. -Great stuff now we're 'rocking' !

Hey there's some great MZ tutorials on this website: http://www.casioteclados.com.br/mundomzx
Who can we get to narrate them in English ?

What's the difference between Scottish, Irish and Northumbrian bagpipes ? Folk musicians often play the latter.

I know a guy who went to a gig with his Wersi organ who had the same problem. In the end the problem was traced to an electrical 'surge' at the venue when he switched on the organ ? In his case blew some components on the motherboard ! As Casio supply their instruments worldwide maybe they have some sort of protection built in against electrical 'surges' and can reset unlike this guy with his Wersi organ?
Can ZTN tone files be imported?
in General CT-X Discussion
Posted
Studying the manuals, can ZTN tone files be imported as part of ZRM data? (Since ZTN data are not listed as a type of individual file that can be imported in the manuals only registration ZRM files which it says can also include other data such as rhythms etc...) I'm wondering if by this means additional ZTN Tone Files, say from other Casio keyboards can be imported via the CT-X Data Manager. Or will ZRM files only recognise the CT-X tones or the embed-ed CT-X keyboard tones when ZRM files are imported?
