Have you checked out the MIDI implementation manual?

    Thanks Brad.

Let me give you a practical example. For a particular song, I would like to change the reverb parameter "Time" to 127. In Px5s I must go to "system"->"Reverb Edit"->"Time" and change it. I would like in midi file I have such instructions to change such parameters via SySeX instead of going to keyboard's menu and change the setting.

    Thanks

Does that mean saving a tone as sysex. So that when you play it from the daw back into the the PX5 the right tone is set on the midi channel.

    yes

  4. I mean as an example I want in the beginig of my song, change a parameter ( like LFO) inside my DAWfor specific patch. In the first step, I was thinking perhaps when I am editing the patch I could record the corresponded NRPN messages inside my DAW ( by just midi recording inside DAW when it also listen to SYSEX in the recoding mode) and later on when I play the song the patch automatically set correctly even if the keyboard has been off from electricity already

    Thanks

  5. Hello everyone,

Is it possible to change the tone or stage information via System Exclusive on PX5s without need to save a patch as a new item?

As far as I see almost no system exclusive send to my Daw

    Thanks

  6. Hello Brad,

It is strange, anytime that I turn on the Casio PX5s I see it is ON and I manually need to turn it off.

    One more question about CC64.

I have two track of MIDI channel 1 and 2

In both channels I use CC64 and when for example I am recording Ch2, the pedal from Ch1 also reset meanwhile of playing but it records CC64 for each channel separately. IS there any setting in the keyboard that I must  be aware of that to prevent the pedal from one channel does not effect the pedal from other channels meanwhile of recording ?

    Thanks

  7. Hello,

How could I change the patch for any midi channel for Px5s via DAW?

I do not know what NRPN message should I send.

Anyone use Nuendo here? In this case how could I find the Px5s patches in MIDI Device Option in Nuendo?

    Thanks

  8. Brad I think I found the solution.

I need to go to Px5s setting --> Midi---> Rx filter ---> control change ( from on to off)

Then when I play the Midi it understand CC64 and perhaps other control changes. But why when you make if off it starts to work? The default value is ON that it actually does not understand the pedal

    Thanks

  9. I basically use a DAW. I made one Midi channel ( Ch1 ) with Piano and started to do midi recording on my PC . I could clearly see the CC64 and other controllers and notes are recorded.

When I play the MIDI via PC to the port of Px5s it looks it does not handle the pedals for PX5S. If I change to another keyboard that I have at home ( Casio WK1200) it works.

So I wonder why PX5S does not respond to CC64 for Pedal

Sorry for my bad English. I hope it is more clear now

    Thanks

  10. Hello everyone,

I recorded some Piano track in a DAW and clearly it is also recording CC64 messages for pedal. When I play the piano it looks the pedal is Off. Anyone knows why PX5S does not consider CC64 message for foot pedal from a Midi file?

I also should mention that I want to have multiple tracks ( Piano, string, etc) and each track needs its own CC64 based on its selected instrument and MIDI channel.

    thanks

  11. Hello everyone,

For MIDI I do not use USB and I use normal MIDI ports.

I connect the MIDI output from Casio to MIDI IN port of my sound card. It looks there is not any Midi insert to my PC. However, I do not have any problem for MIDI output in my pc ( I can open Piano roll, and if I click the mouse on keys the sound plays in Casio).

from the setting menu in PX5s, I let Midi in be ON. Is there any other setting that I need to change in the keyboard in order its MIDI Out ( MIDI IN in my sound card) receive the messages?

    Thanks
