Hi it would be interesting to know for what purposes are you using it as it is arranger and workstation in one. In my case primary use is music production as a workstation for EDM music . Let's discussion begins.

Yes I used Moxf plus iPad to do music plus cubase ect ect now I have all in front of me .

I got my MZ 500 today and it is really a workstation and arranger in one plus pads and sounds to be honest much better than I expected (had XW P1 before ) this is different league . I repeat what I said before for the money there is nothing better out there.

I got it today and first impressions are very good I was pleasantly surprised by sound quality especially the ones with hex layer much better than my XW P1 and very similar to MOXF6 which I sold to get MZ 500 not to mention touch screen it's so much easier to navigate especially for someone like me who used Yamaha's os .

I think that before you buy any keyboard manual should be read in detail (I did it) . Why buy Casio then when Korg is similar price? I know what I am buying and what it does yes it could do more but that is same for all keyboards . When Montage come to market people knew it doesn't have onboard sequencer still bought it and then complained why it does not have sequencer. Answer was simple buy Kronos instead . Where is that perfect Workstation still waiting for it 😎

Pa 600 is good no questions about it but in my opinion a bit limited i.e arranger and that's it. In that price bracket extra pads ect ect all in one arranger /workstation MZ 500 is hard to beat . Good to have both but if you can have only one Casio is winer for me.

Yes there are better arrangers there like Tyros and Korg Pa4x and with much better price 😁 but the point is what you get for your money I was comparing Korg pa 600 Yamaha PSR 770 and for the similar money none of them have what MZ X500 got.

What you need is Novation launchpad pro or Ableton push. MZ X500 in other hand can do more than most arrangers out there i.e Casio is both arranger and workstation plus you have pads (only Korg Kronos got pads but price is about 3000£). You can use pads to trriger your samples in MZ X500 (I think you have 256 mb I am guessing here) and keyboard to controll your Daw or above instruments and that is for live setting.

Bit off topic how do you find mz x500 suitable for dance /edm I am about to order one ?

I am planing to get mz x500 I would like to hear from owners what do they think about sound quality compared to for example Yamaha moxf especially electronic sounds .

Any idea what is pcm size for factory voices in mz x500 .
