Orchestral Piece done entirely on the CASIO WK-1350. When Mike Martin listened to this, he could hardly believe that the WK-1350 was capable of such a thing! How many of YOU , in "Casio-Land" also like to do "orchestral" on YOUR Casio Keyboard of choice? Let us HEAR you!

This stage setting is inspired by, and partly based on, Kates String. It is my attempt at providing orchestral variety in one stage setting. Mixing the string tones with Sliders 1, 2 and 3 provides a range of tones from mellow to bright; adding the Orchestra tone from zone 2 gives punch; and brass can be turned on or of as required. I hope you find it useful. The tones are: Zone 1, WarmStrings2; Zone 2, Orchestra; Zone 3, Syn-Strings1; Zone 4, BriteStrings. Controls: Knob 1: Reverb (all zones) Knob 2: EQ High Gain (all zones) Knob 3: Attack (zones 1, 3 & 4) Knob 4: Release (zones 1, 3 & 4) Slider 1: zone 1 volume Slider 2: zone 3 volume Slider 3: zone 4 volume Slider 4: zones 1, 3 & 4 expression (reversed action) Slider 5: zone 2 volume and on/off* Slider 6: zone 1 layer 6 (brass section) on/off and volume. Pedal 1: Soft (all zones) Pedal 2: zone 2 on/off *Note: Slider 5 is set to turn zone 2 on or off in case Pedal 2 is not available. If the second pedal is available, I recommend setting Target 2 of the control to No Assign and just leaving the Volume control for the zone. I have included a PDF that details the Stage Setting parameters.- 2 reviews

Hi All.. It's been months since I've put up something new. It's been a dark and foreboding year for me and it shows in this latest piece of music. When I was 9 years old the world's population was 2 Billion. 50 years later we are rapidly approaching 8 Billion. Doubling every 25 years by the time I hit 80 we will be nearing 16 Billion. Meanwhile politicians are farting around with carbon tax and defunding Planned Parenthood. Either humanity makes a conscious effort to fix its own problems or else Mother Nature will fix it for us. Without further ado I give you my musical answer to the overpopulation which threatens our world. Sequenced on Cakewalk Home Studio 9.01 with a Kurzweil PC3K8, Casio XW-P1, Arturia Microbrute, M-Audio Venom and an Alesis SR-18.... https://soundcloud.com/happyrat1/fever-chills?in=happyrat1/sets/gary-g-s-singles Enjoy Gary

Noodled out a new tune tonight in record time. This one is my idea of driving music. https://soundcloud.com/happyrat1/rustbucket-2-an-ode-to-my-car Used the Kurzweil, the Casio, The Blofeld and the Alesis to do this one. Considering how tight my schedule has been the past month or so I'm both amazed and happy that I could pull this one off quickly tonight. Gary

MOVIE STRINGS First shot at some cinematic sounds. The goal is for some versatile strings for scoring. Velocity in the lower octaves will bring in a timpani for extra impact. This is a work in progress so don't just download and run! Play around with it and give me some feedback so I can make it better. Audio demo is here:https://soundcloud.com/keyz2401/movie-strings-demo-casio-px-5s- 2 comments
