I’ve spent the evening experimenting with the CT-S1, the WU-BT10 adapter, and some mobile devices. One thing has me stumped right now. As I moved to testing MIDI In from an external device (iPhone, running Zenbeats, sending notes out from its timeline to CT-S1), it seems the CT-S1 only plays the default Stage Piano tone. Even if I change the Tone on the CT, the notes are still the piano (but live play on keys is the selected Tone). I’ve checked through the User Manual and MIDI spec, but it doesn’t say much about MIDI In, just Out. Before I spend hours on this: does anyone know if this is behavior as designed? Would I somehow need to execute a Program Change to get the notes to play a different Tone? Is there a comparable limit or method on other current Casio keyboards? I know not many of us yet have the CT-S1, but any advice is appreciated. TIA!

Hi Everyone, I use a Casio WK 1350 to record on Garageband, and I very much enjoy the sounds I can get using soundfonts. The WK 1350 had a "midi in" connection on the back, and my USB midi connector connects to that as well as the midi out. For example, in recording House of the Rising Sun, I use a nice Vox Continental soundfont that sounds great in Garageband, and will play out through external speakers connected to the computer. My question is: How can I get the soundfont to play through the keyboard speakers? When I set it to "Local On" all I get it the Casio-designated sound. And yet, in Garageband, it is playing the soundfont. Is there a way to make the keyboard sound like that Vox Continental? Thanks for any light you can shed. Cheers, GB

Anybody know how to get the MIDI-In port to trigger the Arpeggiator on the XW-G1? Basically...what i'm trying to do... I've got an Omnichord OM-250 with MIDI- Going into my XWG1. The Omnichord outputs MIDI on channels 1-4. I can figure out how to change sounds of each channel... But cant figure out how to get any of the channels to start the arpeggiator. (channel 3 which outputs chords is the one I want to use) Gone through all settings and menus... But I don't know... I would also like to go from MIDI Out on my JUNO-106 to MIDI in on my XW - trigger ARP then- MIDI out back to JUNO I've been able to use the XW-G1 built in keyboard and arpeggiator and MIDI out only... but not as midi IN and OUt sorry if i've made this kinda confusing
