Many registrations combining acoustic pianos with synthesizers, and one providing a more realistic grand piano; Made by me for Casio CT-X800; Probably works with Casio CT-X700 and CT-X870IN; The voice volumes were adjusted with RBK Mixer, by @Chandler Holloway and Miguel Guerrero. Details: Most of these registrations will work better as pads, for filling, than as leads, but this might be improved soon; The registrations are called here in the same way they are on the keyboard screen: [bank number]-[registration number]; 1-3 and 1-4 are inspired by Van Halen's Dreams and wouldn't be possible without RBK Mixer, as many other registrations here; 2-1 combines two piano voices to make a more realistic grand piano, and also sound like the patch of 80s classics, such as Head Over Heels; 3-3 and 3-4 are still "empty" and can be ignored; Comments are welcome, here or in the topic. -

Hi everyone, I would like to learn my synthetic as fast as possible. I have a limited amount of time. I want to store some of the general sounds like piano harmonica strings brass ect on the user preset in the order of my choosing. How do I learn this function. ? Do I need to have batteries install underneath to maintain the sounds I store ?

Hey all! Here to show you something big for the PX-5S. Dave Weiser, who has designed sounds for Roger Waters, David Bowie, The Who, and about every theatre show that's been on Broadway, has released a new pair of sounds for the PX-5S. Of course, we all know him for the Vintage Keys Set he made for the PX in late 2013 (and can still be downloaded on Casio Music Forums here), but he has now come out with two brand new piano presets! Basically, these pianos are designed for a number of different applications and genres with the purpose of being "gig-ready". Yes, meaning they sit well in your mix, without getting in the bassist's frequencies, or requiring any extra EQ from the sound guys. Where can you find them? You'll find them, and all the info you need to know on Dave's website, WeiserSound.com HERE. Also, there are some great new demos that were just put on Dave Weiser's SoundCloud, so be sure to check those out! Looking forward to trying these out live!

I picked one of these up sight-unseen after hearing the great piano sounds (youtube) and good things about the keyboard. All true. very nice. But... Why does it program like it's from 1985? With it's tiny screen and odd menu system? I've had other Casios that were more intuitive- a decade ago. So I go online to see if there are any presets or 'registrations' and there are a ton for the 5s, yet none for the lowly 3. I tried to load some of the files for PX-5s, but no dice. Hacks? Firmware? Should I keep the redheaded step-child , or trade-up to the Big-Boy 5s for the active community? In 2011 Casio elevated their popular Privia piano line to pro status with the PX-3, an 88-note, weighted keyboard stage piano and controller.
