MaryAnneR
I am trying to figure out why there are drum symbols below the keys? I assume there is some connection with the keys above but cannot find anything in the manual. Can anyone help me figure it out? Thanks so much
- T -
Find the "TONE" buttons to the right of the display screen. Press the K (GM/DRUMS) button. The display will indicate TONE K:001 (GM PIANO). Rotate the data wheel clockwise to TONE K:129 (StandardSet1). You now have drum kit StandardSet1 assigned to the keys. Play the keyboard and you will hear drum sounds. The symbol stenciled above each key indicates the type of drum sound assigned to that key. As you continue to rotate the data wheel clockwise or to press the + (YES} button, you will assign different drum sets (kits) to the keys, each with its own unique sounds.

Claud
Thank you for me too. I looked everywhere to find out how to do that. I need it to record my own drum pattern for my music I plan to write. Thank you again.
Pappy Aaron
I just purchased the Wk-6600 and its nothing like the old CTK-1000 I had years ago. I too could not figure out how to use the drums. This answer was spot on. Thank you
