Keybo
Hi im new to the wk7600...nice instrument...I cant get my head round one thing though. Is it possible play the keyboard without sound effects on the lower section I.e. drums base etc...? I find reading manuals tedious....sorry..! - T -
Keybo What you are calling "sound effects" is actually "Auto-accompaniment". If you do not want that, just do not turn accompaniment (ACCOMP) ON. That is: just turn on the WK-7600, but do not press the ACCOMP ON/OFF button that turns accompaniment ON, or if the WK-7600 comes up with the accompaniment ON (It can be set to power up with default settings OR the way it was last used.), just press the ACCOMP ON/OFF button to turn it OFF. When accompaniment is OFF, the selected tone ("sound" or "voice") is spread across the entire keyboard so that you can play it like a normal piano, organ, etc. I do not mean to discourage you, but with the complexity of the WK-7600, as with most modern day keyboards, if you are going to get much use or enjoyment out of it, you need to try to come to grips with your disdain for manuals. Most of us find reading manuals extremely tedious, but we do it in order to acquire new knowlege for the job, or task, or challenge at hand. Not to do so would be like trying to learn algebra, or geometry, or trigonometry, or calculus without reading a math book - very difficult, at best. Of course, we will always be here to assist you with interpreting the manual, which admittedly, can be taxing and frustrating at times, even for us old timers, but I think you will find that the more involved you are with it, the better you will become at finding your own solutions, rather than having to wait for hours or days for a response here. Good luck with your WK-7600!

- T -
Kirit The only User Tone file archive, for the newer boards, that I am aware of, is in the Downloads section here on this forum: http://www.casiomusicforums.com/index.php?/files/category/39-ctk-wk/ I hope you can find something there that you can use. With very rare exceptions, anything you find here (tones, rhythms, etc) should work pretty much across the board on the entire CTK/WK-6XXX/7XXX product line. Unlike the older CTK/WK models, for which Casio released 100 after-market User Tones and over 100 after-market User Rhythms, they only ever released 50 User Rhythms, of somewhat limited use, and no User Tones, at all, for the new 6XXX/7XXX models, and even now, those 50 User Rhythms have been removed from all of the Casio websites (but they are included in the above Download section). While those User Rhythms for the older boards can be imported into the new boards, the old User Tones can not, due to differences in the sound engines.
