Alexandre Pecora
Hi I have just got a Ct x700 as a gift. I connected it to a Kurweil sp76 through my pc using Midi. I am able to play the General Midi programs and send program change from the dp76. However, I cannot play any of other patches through. The bank never changes,,always stays at the General Midi one. Is there anyway to select the tones from other banks? I tried to send bank select messages according to sp76 manual, but only the tone changes still in the General Midi tones. Thx Alex
casio_style
To select other patches on the synthesizer, with the keyboard midi, along with a program change, you still need to send the MSB value. These values (MSB) can be viewed in Appendix https://support.casio.com/en/manual/manualfile.php?cid=008007003 Edited December 19, 2021 by casio_style
Alexandre Pecora
Hi, Thanks. Yes, I have downloaded that. But how do I translate that into the keys I need to select ( or press) in my SP 76 ?. The info in this manual looks more like computer language to be sent from a computer or midi editor. One I notice: when I play the CTX700 through MIDI, it looks like a parallel sound board, where only the GM sounds are available. However, I can still use the keyboard any sound when pressing its keys. I mean: - I play the SP 76 keys, it plays the GM sounds on CT X700 -I play the CT X700 keys, I can still play any sound I think the CT X700 has some great sounds, but I need to find a way to easily play them from an external keyboards. Thanks again Alex
