henkvis Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 My daughter proudly bought from her own allowance a CDP-100 keyboard. Checked it before bying however not toroughly enough as it seems. The problem is that after a few minutes playing, the sound is distorted immensly. What could be the cause? I already exchanged the powersupply for a known good one. Please look at the following: Youtube Hope you guys have a solution or maybe there is something to replace? Looks like something is heating up.... Thanks already! Quote
Joe Muscara Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 I'm trying to think of what it could be. The CDP-100 doesn't have a pitch bend nor a modulation wheel so it's not that. Some of it may be related to velocity sensitivity but again, the CDP-100 generally has simple sounds and I don't think any of them do that. Was this purchased new or used? Quote
henkvis Posted January 22, 2022 Author Posted January 22, 2022 It was an used one. Didn't check it thorougly enough when picking up.... Personally I believe it has to do with the power-board..... but I can't find replacement parts for it. Hopy anyone else reads this and says it's that condensator or whatever.... Quote
henkvis Posted February 8, 2022 Author Posted February 8, 2022 So deducted the problem to the Main PCB MAIN PCB M403-MDA1 Anyone still having a board 'laying' around? Can't find such a replacement board anymore anywhere. Would be greatly appreciated! Quote
