How do you program the arpeggiator ?

I'm putting in an 8 bar drum beat

8 high hats

bass drum on the beat

snare on the off beat

how do I get the high hat and snare to play on the same beat ?

which runs into an Irish jig with all PX-5s Fx

It seems that I can put in drum notes on the same beat in the phrase mode but not in the arpeggiator mode but I find it difficult to put in anything with any fineness and there is no swing on  the phrase mode.

 

 

I may have to buy a drum machine after all.

I find that the PX-5s works well with a drum machine and it gives you an extra zone and its usually easy to change beats and tempo.

Try Hydrogen drum machine.  It's free, it's actually pretty cool and easy to use.  Save the output as a midi file then import it as a phrase.

I FINALLY found out what the problem was over having an extra bar in the phrase from the midi file.

 

In the from selected measure  bar 1

to selected measure bar 2 

 

I thought this was one bar

but one bar is;

In the from selected measure  bar 1

to selected measure bar 1
