  1. This is just my opinion. If the MZX synths sound as good as YAMAHA or KORG arrangers, then this would be among the coolest synths CASIO ever produced, and well worth the money. I know the competition isnt putting samplers with multi function pads in thier arrangers. And the MZX synths have almost as many sounds as the big three top arrangers and more sounds than the same price range. When you look at the specs of these new casios, it is clearly more than just an arranger type synth. It seems CASIO has given the user a fairly nice amount of everything for music making. I do think CASIO should have made these new synths able to use batteries, but then again i dont think the big YAMAHA or KORG arrangers are battery powered either. If these synths cannot compete with the big three, (soundwise) then these synths will flop. I hope these synth/arrangers sound as good as the competition.
  2. Wow!!! CASIO is kicking but right now. These new piano/synthesizers look and sound awesome!!!
  3. Hello forum, I have for the last six month's been in post, to near post production on an album of song's i wrote. This album spans a few year's, and uses alot of different synth's, from a MOTIF 6, a KORG KARMA,a KORG MONOTRON DELAY, a MININOVA, and last but not least, my trusty ole XW-P1. I have to say, In many area's, the XW-P1 keep's up with, and even in some area's surpases my other synth's. I have been working on an album of recording's for awhile getting vocal's down and such. So after more than a few month's of neglecting to play my XW-P1, as finishing my recording's has been where i have been concentrating most of my energy. Thought i would just get lost in playing the ole girl. The XW is still a very satisfying synth, Those HEX pad's still sound great. Not to mention the many other cool sound's it can create. Drum's, i still like a tad better than my departed MOTIF6. I used alot of the greatness of this synth in my album of song's. And it is like a good marriage. I still love my XW-P1.
  4. If they would have gave us SD card storage, and old school midi port's i would have been very interested. Guess i will have to hope i can find a good deal on an XW-G1 someday. Of course it could take a while.
  5. When i heard casio was doing something with sampling i was excited, but when i saw those keyboard's it was a bummer.
  6. Just uploaded some sound effect tone's to the forum. Hope you like them.
