  1. Just to update this post. This M Audio expression pedal works perfectly with the MZ. Fortunately there's a switch on the bottom of the pedal that changer the polarity of the plug enabling it to work with Casios. There's also a volume control on the side of the pedal so you can adjust the sensitivity. It works really well. So thumbs up with this pedal.
  2. Well I think this deserves its own post as I must be the only person in the whole world that has done it. Because I play theatre and church organs I really need more than one keyboard. For my requirements I need at least 2. A great( lower keyboard) and a swell( upper keyboard). Originally I was going to buy a Yamaha Tyros and put a lower keyboard below it using midi. Then I found the Casio MZ2000 which is basically a Tyros but without the price tag. Then I tried the lower keyboard by using midi. Unfortunately I found very limited and was pretty much useless for my application. Then I had the perfect solution to the problem. Tada........ Yep I've not got one MZ but now two.
  3. Who else here finds the 76 keyed keyboards to wide when using auto cords. I find the distance between the auto cord keys and the melody keys to far apart. So I have to move the split point up a fill set of keys so it's the same as a 61 note. I've been playing 61 keyed organs etc for years but when I play 76 keys I'm all over the place.
  4. I can do that. Just shove your mouth full of a slice of bread then have a conversation. Not sure how you can make any sense with you mouth full of regulator Mmmmuuuurrrrrrr eeereeedlllllllllooooooo eeeeeeedeevvvvvrrrrbbbbbdddddyyyy. Translated. Hello everybody. Lol.
  5. Hi. I have brought some second hand music off ebay. Unfortunately the music has come from a smokers home and it smells like the cat has pissed on it. It wreeks. Sorry if any of you smoke in your homes but I don't and it stinks. Has any of you got any tips on how to get rid of the stench. It's a collectors book so scanning it in wont do I'm afraid. I'm sitting there playing the music and all I can smell is the stinky. I've tried my swimmers nose clip but if I'm playing a concert I will look abit strange sitting on stage with a nose clip on. I've tried to spray Fabreeze on it but now I get Fabreeze and stinky music smell combined. Any ideas on how to get rid of stinky pages? Many thanks
  6. I've just brought this M Audio expression pedal from Maplin. I will let you know if it's any good on Casio keyboards.
  7. Just to update this post. I tried the casio expression pedal on my MZ. Terrible results. When you plug the pedal in. You loose over 50% of your volume output. The pedal is floored and the volume knob is on max Stil no power volume output. Only plays reall quitet. When you remove the pedal from the socket. Sound output is back to normal. Anybody else has this problem with expression pedals?
  8. Hey Joe. Let's clear something up. I'm not a retailer. I'm a electrical engineer by trade. I've just got far to many keyboards and the wife says some need to go. I removed the keyboards that I would like to sell because I was asked to. I still love some of my keyboards and this forum is quite good and I would like to stay.
  9. Hi. as requested I have deleted this post.

  11. I've been scratching my head about the mz Loading disc registrations. I've got the disc to load a registration. But where does it load to. I can't find it to play the new registration. Where does it load to so I can access the settings. It tells you how to load in the instructions but nothing about how to play the loaded registration.
  12. Let's try Like this. Many thanks
  13. What does that mean. Now I'm even more confused
  14. Hi. I would like to add a second keyboard below my other casio. Like on a Yamaha TRX system The Casio keyboard must be atleast 61 keys but I'd prefer 76 keys. Needs to be silver and have 5 pin din midi ports with normal keys and not piano hammer action. Any body know of a Casio that can do this. It's only going to be a midi keyboard only. Something like this
