  1. Andre, I really want to download your grand piano EQ files but when I click the download box my computer using chrome just blinks, often and sustained blinking. Its as if the download is trying to happen but something is blocking it. Help please and thanks.
  2. Steinway D with different EQ settings View File I was not satisfied with those preset Grand Pianos, so I took a nicely altered Grand from another user and changed some parameters, especially EQ. So here are five very good sounding Grands (in my ears), a dark/warm/mellow one, a bright one, a medium one. I eliminated reverb and most of the pedal damper noise.. Faders 1-4 work as EQ (mostly), Fader 5 is for choosing frequency of Fader 6 (Gain) , you can make very fast changes with those two.. Now I am fullly satisfied with the Grand sound, like it more than any other stage piano´s Steinway. I am using it with a pair of Presonus Ceres 4.5 and this combination sings lovely! This is a product of refining the nice factory Steinway for MY ears. It took a few years, now and then trying to altering the EQ for my needs. Now...for ME it is just what I dreamed of: a clear, transparent and dynamic sound, crisp and strong without a booming bass and muffled mids. Like a mountain spring! I love it, hope you like it, too! Greetings AL
  4. Hi all, Got my px-s1000 last week in order to learn piano. Really like it and love that I can practice with the headphones on when family go to bed. Anyhow, just tonight I have noticed a sort of knocking sound, like knocking on a wood table sort of sound (but sort of with echo/reverb type quality too) in the higher keys, noticeable faintly from around the 5 keys then more and more so as you continue up, to where the top keys are more percussion/knocking than note. Basically is this mimicking the sound of an actual piano? I am not talking about physical knocking/sounds of the keys being pressed here, it doesn't do it on electronic piano setting for example, but it is like the sound is simulated to be like that. I've tried all grand piano settings and rock piano setting and sounds same. Any help much appreciated. Kind regards Craig Voice 002.m4a

Firmware v1.10 Required This Stage Setting includes a modified Concert Grand Piano Tone. In this Stage Setting, the main Concert Grand tone on the PX-5S has been modified with a lower "initial Attack". Some players like this more melodic piano tone. This piano tone also features a narrower amplitude range which makes it easier to control.

  8. Hi, my name is Julian and I'm a gigging musician. I have been looking for a keyboard with great acustic piano sound (it's almost all I care for), lightweight, that doesn't cost a fortune. I came across many tutorials and demos of this wk7600 model. To me it looks amazing, and the fact that has 76-piano style keys with a bit more weight than most synths it's amazing. Since I know it's acustic piano sound it's awesome (after a bit of edition), my quistion is, does it "translate" good onto the PA?. I'm asking this because I have a privia px110, and it was a HUGE disappointment live, even though it sounds very acceptable trough it's built-in speakers. I live in Argentina, and even though this unit is more affordable than other keyboards with similar features, for me it's still hard to pay, I wouldn't want to make the wrong purchase. I've recently bought a Roland juno ds61, so I'm pretty covered as far as synth goes, I need this casione wk7600 to cover the Grand piano role, without it being a huge 88-key-heavy-as-hell unit. I also love the recording features it comes with. Thanks
  9. Can anybody help me how to edit stereo grand piano sound to sound more beautiful grand piano? Thx all.

My own attempt at building a "neutral" acoustic piano stage setting, I focused particularly on dynamics (master compressor and Tone amplifier velocity settings) and trying to correct the timbre of the central octave (F3-F4) which is where I really don't like the way the original PX5s piano samples sound (I tried to compensate using Master EQ and also trying a different Stretch Tuning setting in the Tone Pitch section)

  12. Before I was able to upgrade the firmware on my new PX-5S, I recorded a solo piano version of Georgia On My Mind, directly to the USB drive that plugs into the keyboard itself. Here is how it sounds. https://soundcloud.com/north-island-music/georgia-on-my-mind-solo-piano With the new firmware upgrade, volume control of the audio recording function is now possible. In general, I am totally satisfied with my purchase of the PX-5S. I play it every day!
