muzzar27
Hi I recently attempted to install the driver for the XW-P1 so I could use midi. Unfortunately the power cut out during update and now the keyboard won't turn on. What do I do? The driver said it was erasing and little blocks started disappearing one by one making me believe it was doing the opposite of updating but like I said the power cut out and now it won't turn on! Plz help! Is there a restore factory reset button?
Null
Hi Muzzar. You are the unlucky recipient of a pooched firmware update. See this thread for a long discussion of your options. http://www.casiomusicforums.com/index.php?/topic/4834-pooched-xw-p1/ Assuming that your unit is still under warranty, ie. if it's less than three years old and you purchased and registered it in North America or less than one year old in other parts of the world, you will have to contact Casio Service in your part of the world, get an RMA number and return it for authorized service to the depot in your region/country. http://www.casio.com/ Let us know how this works out for you... Display Name
Just as heads-up to others: Make sure you keep batteries in your XW/PX-5S when you are doing an firmware update and turn off all antivirus software and Windows/other updates.
