JFK007
Hi, I'm new here so be gentle with me! I've searched and searched but cannot seem to find a definitive answer so I'm hoping someone here can help. I have my PX850, I have my iPad with the iGrand app on it, I have my camera connector and I have my USB host cable. I also know how to tunr off the local control so that the speakers on my Privia are turned off. Now, what i want is to play the iGrand app, using my Privia, and for the sound to come out of the Privia speakers. Does the USB lead transmit the sound do i need a separate lead from the iPad headphone jack to somewhere on my Privia? I've looked at various You Tube vids and cannot see that there is this separate lead ?! thanks all,
Display Name
Hi and welcome to the Casio Forums. I'm afraid you will have to use external speakers in order to hear your iPad as the PX-850 does not have a line-in connection and does not support audio over USB. I would look at at a set of studio monitors. If you want to mix the sound of the Privia and iPad you will need monitors / PA, etc with multiple inputs or a small mixer. Hope this helps! JFK007
Hi Scott, and thank for your reply. that's very disappointing to hear. i really don't fancy rigging up separate speakers and the sound from the ipad is no good. It limits the attractiveness of the connectivity somewhat. Best,
