  1. This is another reason why the successor to the MZ-x series should be created. MZ-x has a lot of possibilities, but it's in the first place the aranżer / keyboard so it should contain: 1. Good on-board styles - you run the keys and want to play - that's what Yamaha gives you, most styles are weak and sound bad at Casio. We managed to create a nice Global Rythms package - why isn't there such a style in the instrument? To match the competition of Yamaha and Korg there should be at least 400 of them. 2. The new sounds of the Aix module - mainly acoustic sounds and new multilayer samples of acoustic drums. 3. A new set of effects - (available in the new Ct-X Series) will significantly improve the sound of the MZ-X Series 4. The ability to use the entire memory of the sampler without limitations - now uploading more samples causes the sounds to disappear from the instrument and choke while playing. 5. Using the registration without any limitations - is it not possible to save the registration on the usb memory as in Rolands? 6. separate Upper1/2 , Lower1/2 buttons would be useful - but this is a secondary matter. 7. Use the sliders to actually control the volume of the individual parts of the instrument. 8. a larger touchscreen display - but of course it's a dream. Better promotion of the new Mz-x series - although the keyboard will sound good, the new owners will advertise it the best. Unfortunately, the current Mz-x series on most demos sounds poor - just like the old Ctk series, it sounds much worse than the competition of Yamaha, Korg, Roland and this is the main reason for poor sales. When mz-x appeared it was underdeveloped and cost over 1000 Euro. - this could not be a success of the sale. Casio should give you a lot more at a better price when introducing a new product. I hope that Casio engineers and managers will learn from this.
  2. I can assure you that both Yamaha and Korg have forums dedicated to their keys - they are much more developed and have many more users. You can not only get professional help there, but also find turtorials, manuals, styles and sounds. Only in Poland I can find several thousand Yamaha and Korga forum members on the instrumentyklawiszowe.com forum - as the owner of Casio MZ I am the only one. The MZ-X series is very popular for its simple operation, touch screen display, great look and good sound of the right hand. As an additional key it works perfectly. Casio has made the greatest progress of all companies. Yamaha introduced a new model s775/975 but the changes compared to the predecessor are practically minimal, Korg pa 700/900 introduced some innovations in relation to the predecessor but still the greatest progress in my opinion was made by Casio. Roland has a very strange policy and has stood still for the past few years. The Ketron Sd9 sounds great but it is very expensive and there is still a problem with the instability of the system. I support Casio very much. Even a paid update of the MZ-X series would be enough to introduce the new Aix tones, styles and features mentioned in the forum. I am the first customer to buy. It's hard to beat Casio among the experienced yamaha and Korga players, you can't give up a given segment after a single failure, especially as it was the Casio manufacturer who made many mistakes when releasing the Mz series. I really like the changes made to the Ct-X Series, especially the new effects system - which greatly improves the sound at the output. I think Casio should think about its customers and, like yamaha, create a page with additional styles and sounds. I look forward to the successor to the mz-x series - please don't give up - the mz-x series is a really valuable and valuable instrument.
  3. When the MZ-X series came out on the market it was underdeveloped and had a lot of errors. Only numerous updates made these keys attractive for their recipients. There is still no solution to the problems of the sampler, another disadvantage is a limited number of registrations - which makes the key suitable only for amateurs, who treat playing as their hobby. This key is not comparable to the competition - Casio lags behind Yamaha, Korg and Roland, but has made huge progress. If they continued to work on the Aix sound module and introduced new sounds and updates, they could also become a serious player in the market for their successor to the MZ-X series. The appearance of new models would also make more and more companies interested in producing Casio keyboard software - which also affects the popularity of a given brand on the market. I am very disappointed that Casio has forgotten the MZ-X series market - but unfortunately they are to blame themselves: an underdeveloped instrument, poorly arranged styles, lack of promotion - all this has had an impact on sales results.
  4. Unfortunately, I don't have any samples of Jean Michel Jarre's music. You can download Awave Studio and convert samples from Korga to wav format. Only one sound can be saved in the free version. Then use Casio Sample Manager to convert your sounds to Casio format.
  5. The styles are very cool. One of the advantages of the entire MZ series is that it is very easy and intuitive to use. Unfortunately, the sound as a whole is very weak and far from the competition (Yamaha /Korg/Roland). Casio Mz sounds artificial and without the use of samples nothing can be done. Only the new CT-X series introduces new sounds and a new effect system that completely transforms these instruments. Can I ask you to submit my FEEL FUNK style to petersohn@wp.pl ? I will throw in my version recorded on MZ-x500.
  6. Another novelty in Casio instruments is a new system of effects. Casio has introduced something that its competitors have been using for a long time. For me, this is a very big step forward. The high-speed digital signal processor is also applied for each sound type, such as melody, backing drum and bass, or organ. Even the standard ensemble for a keyboard delivers distinct sound for each instrument for an expressive performance.
  7. Thank you Silvano - that is very good news. I'm just uploading a new update.
  8. You do not need to change the style extension
  9. In the previous topic I gave you two links on how to do it: 1. 2.
In Poland, there is a saying: 'In the wrong hands, even Korg Oasys will sound like Casio'. Unfortunately, Casio itself has earned such a reputation. In the 1990s Casio was very popular in our country and there was a time when it sounded better than Yamaha. Unfortunately, Casio has come to a standstill and Yamaha has continued to grow and is now a leader in the sale of key instruments. Roland also had a strange policy and now he has completely left behind, having nothing to offer, only remained with the Keyboards budget. Casio Keyboards are still popular in Poland - in my city of Chelm (60 thousand inhabitants) you can buy a new Casio MZ-x300, the x500 model is available only on request. The retailers still advise against buying Casio keyboards and propose to buy something better than the competition - of course, I think this is the fault of Casio itself, which has not had anything to offer so far. This is now beginning to change.
  11. Witaj Many. Yamaha dodaje do swoich klawiszy DANCE PACKA - dodatkowe brzmienia syntetyczne i style. Pozdrawiam - Piotr https://www.deepl.com/translator Welcome Many. Thank you for your feedback on Casio MZ X500. I am also the owner of MZ X500, I come from Poland. In the past I used to have many keyboards, such as Technics kn 6500, Ketron SD1 or Roland Va7. I currently own Roland bk-5, Korg pa 600, Yamaha S750 and Casio MZ-X500. When it comes to the appearance of Casio MZ, it's definitely the most beautiful keyboard on the market for me. A big advantage of the Mz series is also simple and intuitive operation. Only Korg has a more extensive edition, but it is more difficult to use (at least at the beginning). The touch screen is very easy to use, but it could be a bit bigger. The worst thing is the Roland bk-5 - it has a small display and you have to go through the menu by turning the wheel. When it comes to acoustic sounds, Yamaha is the clear leader - the Super Artikulation sounds are refined and ready to play right away, followed by Korg. Roland and Casio are similar - some sounds need to be edited themselves - and they are just starting to sound. Although saxophones, wind instruments and clarinets are much better in Roland - guitars on a similar level. Synthetic sounds are Casio's great asset - when it comes to the factory content it gives Casio No. 1. Yamaha adds DANCE PACKA to its keyboards - additional synthetic sounds and styles. Acoustic drum kits - there aren't enough at Casio and they just sound bad. Have the Casio's creators heard the sounds of their competitors? The Ketron SD1 also has several drum kits, but they sound great. The Korg pa 600 has 64 drum kits, the Roland bk-5 - 60 drum kits - are far better than the Casio. I hope Casio will release at least one more MZ upgrade and add a few new CT-X Series kits. It is high time Casio had the samples of multilayered drums in it, just like its competitors. Synthetic drums at Casio are good and sound similar to those of the competition. Another disadvantage of Casio MZ is that it has very weak factory styles. As I wrote before, they are poorly arranged and downloaded from the previous Ctk/Wk series. No effort was made to change GM's sound styles to show what the MZ series can do. Even the conversion of yamaha style doesn't help, because in most cases Yamaha styles sound poor and are not suitable for further processing. The more Mega Voices you have in your style, the worse it sounds after conversion, because Casio doesn't have any equivalents. It's better to do it from scratch. A big advantage of Casio is the converter from Midi to Style - a very useful feature, especially since Softu to Casio is the least on the market (at least in Europe). Both Ketron and Yamaha have the best developed styles and are suitable for playing in different music genres, Korg has cool ballads and Roland has styles suitable for Polish feasts. As far as Casio is concerned, the Mz series is a great improvement on the Ct/WK series, but it is still not enough in relation to the Yamaha/Korg/Roland competition. The Casio Mz X500/300 was underdeveloped after its launch and had many bugs - it's much better after subsequent upgrades. I hope that the company still remembers us and will release a new update, adding new sounds, trouble free sampling and fixing bugs. I still think that Casio is not suitable as a leading keyboard player. It is a great complement to another company's keyboard. The new Ct-x series sounds a lot better. I believe that Casio will go down that road and in a while he will release a successor to the MZ series, who will be able to match the competition.
  12. The styles to Casio Mz after conversion from Yamaha sound poor and need editing. 13. https://www.deepl.com/translator I am writing from Poland, I use the translator Deepl because I believe that it is the best Polish-English translation. Finally, I used a courtesy phrase, which always ends the conversation in Poland. Apparently, this cannot be translated directly into English, because it is incomprehensible and even the best translator will not help here. Pozdrawiam Piotr
  14. I got acquainted with the review and listened to the demo casio ct-x 700. for me this budget key sounds much better at the start than Casio MZ-x500. it has much better drums and more refined styles. Unfortunately, the factory styles in mz-x500 are very weak - most of them were taken from the previous Casio models, GM sounds were not even changed to show what MZ can do. The factory drums (acoustics) are also weak and sound like plastic. Casio mz-x500 without sampler sounds artificial and does not stand out from the Ctk and Wk series. I have Roland BK-5, Korga PA 600, Yamaha PSR S750 and Casio MZ-500 - I think that Casio MZ-X 500 sounds the worst of the four. In general I do not recommend Mz-x500 and here in Europe, this model has very bad opinions. I hope that Casio will draw conclusions and, based on the new generation of Aix, will release the new MZ-X600/400. - better developed and error-free - the look and operation can remain the same. The new CT-X series sounds very good in comparison to the competition. There is a chance to create a good key that could be an alternative for Yamaha S775, Korg pa 700 and Roland Ea7. PS. I use a translator so I don't know if I will be understood - I greet Peter.
