  1. Yes, it's better in English, it's not my native language too but I make the effort. I have just understood that the 1.60 update was a joke...
  2. Ok, I was not aware of this, too bad... Maybe you can record in the song sequencer and play it back to record in the Pattern sequencer ?
  3. I think you can't sync the DAW and the keyboard automatically. I think that you must launch the recording on the keyboard with precount and metronome and then start playing the midi in the DAW when it's the right time. Maybe you must activate the Quantize function on the keyboard to correct the timing while recording, or do this afterward...
  4. I have gone thru the CTK-7200 manual, and there is no option to create a user rhythm from a midi file. This is something possible on the MZ-Xxx. There are freeware software to do this for Yamaha keyboards, I have a PSR-E453 anf have created some styles using these programs. The only way you can use a DAW to simplify rhythm creation on the CTK-7200 is to create the different parts of the rhythms in the DAW and then record them on the keyboard by sending the data via Midi, following the procedure described in the CTK-7200 manual.
  5. I took the time to install this content file, and I have a lot of fun playing with the new sounds and rhythms (and pads), thanks !!!
  6. Woaw, this guitar sound is fantastic (and great playing too !) ! But I have a MZ-X300 so it's impossible for meto use this Tone . Do you think you can get something close to this with a normal Tone ?
  7. Yes, I only have the MZ-X300 but it's a great instrument. I also have a Yamaha PSR-E453 and there is only one DSP for all the parts. I have looked at the PSR-S670 manual (this instrument is Yamaha's equivalent to the MZ-X300) : it has 4 DSP but only 2 master FX (Reverb and Chorus). In all these keyboards, the use of the DSPs is a nightmare, because selecting a voice with DSP will break another selected voice that use the same DSP line, but with a diiferent setting.... I think I will reserve a DSP for the external entries, and the other for the guitar solo. It's nice that the Casios have a third master FX (delay) because I have always used the delay as a send FX when working with DAWs. Don't know why there is such a limitation on DSP in these keyboards because a little Android app like Caustic is able to have 2 send FX (reverb and delay), 2 master FX (EQ and Limiter) plus 2 insert FX by machine (up to 14 machines) : 32 DSPs, and you can add other FX in the modular machine...
  8. Hope it will be available soon, curious to see what have changed...
  9. Yes, it's sad that Casio has not retained the Sampler function of the CTK-4400. And also, the CT-X5000 has lost the drawbar/organ faders of the CTK-7200... Concerning the PSR-E463, it seems that it has the exact same sounds as the E453. All new features seem focused on DJ live playing.
  10. I have a PSR-E453 that I have paid 240€ here in France and it's a great keyboard for the price. It has a pitch-bend wheel, USB to Host Midi but also audio, a USB port, 2 knobs for live control, DJ features, etc... that the CT-X700 has not. The CT-X800, that has a pitch-bend wheel and an USB port is more comparable to the E453. Now there is the new E463 that add sampling features but will be more expensive. What I love in the E453 is that it has a better "perceived quality" than the Casios. I have a Casio MZ-X300 that I love too, but the aspect of the plastics are a bit better on the PSR. I can't say if the CT-X700 has better sounds, but I'm sure it's the case. The PSR-E453 has some great "sweat" and "cool" sounds, but most of the other sounds are very common and remind me of the 90's.
  11. I have created a tone with Sample manager 1.1.0, saved it to a USB Key, and loaded it into the instrument from the key. Everything is fine, I can play with my new tone. The I make some changes to the tone on the instrument, save it to the USB key, copy the file to the folder on the PC where Sample Manager is looking for files, but when I try to load it I have the "File format error" message. Too bad that Sample Manager can't load files created by the instrument ! If you look at the documentation, it says that it's something possible ! Maybe it's because I have updated the firmware of the MZ-X300 to 1.50 ? Is it a bug in Sample Manager that is known by Casio ?
  12. I have just bought a MZ-X300 and I'm a bit disappointed by the DSP side of the machine : only 2 DSPs for the 48 parts !
  13. Just received it from Music Store a few days ago, and it's a great instrument for that price (and I have to sell my Yamaha PSR-E453 now)....
