  1. Thank you, you are too kind. Yes, both my CT-X3000 and PX-5s are great keyboards. I also have a grand piano and a Roland Digital Piano. But I really enjoy playing the Casio boards as my recording and composing keys.

This is a Rhytm /Style created from scratch by me, I needed an Epic Orchestral Sound and hope this is pretty close. It can be used as a movie soundtrack creation also. Maybe someone else would like to use this. Let me know how it worked for you. The 3rd and 4th variations are pretty loud so, you can still adjust the volumes of each part according to your liking. Here is a demo of this:

  8. I played both and it seems like the PX-160 has a nicer keybed weight touch. More like a piano, but indeed noisier. The new PX-S1000 has somewhat a more easy touch keybed, more silent, but it feels less piano like compared to the Px-160... I would say that you would beter try both of them side by side and see what you like. Depends how much you want the keybed feel to come close to a real piano. Featurewise, lightwise, piano sound and so on, the PX-S1000 seems like a better choice. But, if you find a used PX-160 at half price compared to the PX-S1000, I would say you do a great choice for the PX-160. Now, if you can afford to buy the PX-S3000, that would be a great difference featurewise compared to the PX-160, it would be like you have a 88 DP and a Arranger 2 in 1 ... It depends what you want to do with it.
  9. Hi, if they are named like the ones in CT-X3000, it mus be a tone called Digi.Ep2

I was looking for a full, fat sound of an ElectricPiano DX style, also SY77 style (for many years I played a Yamaha SY77 that had a wonderful GranStack EP created by someone) This Stage Setting, combines a few electric pianos with acoustic piano and also has one option with strings in the back. Hope it will be useful to anyone. Enjoy it! Listen to a sample of it used by me in a couple of songs.

  15. To be honest, the action is a bit noisier than other keyboards, but I wouldn't say flimsy. It is more on the softer part if you compare it to a Roland for example, but it's heavier than a Kawai. I would say that most of the keybeds under $1000 are trying to save on price and weight, so the quality would not be that of a top-noch piano, but still, you can get used to it, depending on each player I would say. Have you tried it? It's important that you do so you can see if it feels right to you. Each player has different backgrounds so each has different opinions about different actions.
  16. Thank you, I already did this but wanted to see if there is something more realistic possible. Maybe a next board on Casio will be able to import new samples and this would make a huge difference for most of the users I think.
  17. Hi, first of all I must say I like very much the piano sound and many other combinations of zones and hexlayers on my PX-5s. What I think this keyboard lacks is some good guitar strumming samples, more realistic, and diverse. Is there any way that I could import some samples or create some strumming paths myself? I am also a guitar player and I can strum on a real quitar, but would like to make it that I play only one instrument and have the strumming also included. I know, I could record a strumming wav file and play it on Px-5s, but it's still not like I would have a strumming at my fingers, being able to change the chords and such while I play piano. I would really appreciate if there would be any way to make realistic guitar strumming possible on this instrument. Thanks!
