  1. Hey folks, I recently purchased a Casio CPS-700 electronic piano, and for the most part I am quite happy with it. The only thing I don't like is how it automatically powers off after six minutes of inactivity, even though I have it getting power from its AC adapter with no batteries installed in the compartment. Since I'm employing it as a secondary keyboard in a digital audio workstation setup, I will typically let it go unattended for long periods, only to be annoyed when I return to it and try to use it to record a track without noticing that it has shut itself down due to inactivity. I can't find a manual specifically for the CPS-700, but researching the 'net shows that other early Casio electronic pianos have ways for the user to disable auto shutdown. These generally involve holding down some button on the control panel while switching on the power. Unfortunately, I haven't found the right combination for the CPS-700 (presuming that it even allows the user to disable auto shutdown). Anyone out there know how to tell the CPS-700 to not shut itself down after six minutes' inactivity?
