can be used for sci fi or horror. best if only one note at a time is played, near the mid low key range.

Well, not totaly dissmisive, but Nick certainly didn't give the xw-p1 any real praise. I usually like nick's review's but, he was wearing those rubber band's around his risk that kid's wear, ive never seen him wear those before or since. It's almost as if sonic state was saying , hear kid's, were reviewing this little casio synth. but were not taking it too seriously as a real synth. I know I sound like a buthole, I apologize. I don't feel like all the UK don't like the xw-p1, I just didn't care for the sonic state review. but this is just my opinion.
-
It's the UK's loss if they choose to ignore casio's xw's. Please all consider that UK doesn't have the great influence in the music industry that they use to.
-
Chas, you are correct about uk snobbery. I alway's thought sonic state's review of the XW-P1 was dissmisive at best.

MR Martin's post made me happy. He said, live clinic. Maybe I will learn how to put audio on a sd card.

Thank's Scott, I have a few sound's that I am going to share. What a great age we live in when we can share sound's on synthesizer's. Cool stuff.

Hello forum, I want to share some of the sound's ive created with the XW-P1. I did a test so I guess the hex sound uploaded. I was wondering what does file version, file tag's, and change log mean. Thank's to any one who can answer this question. Also will my uploaded file's play back sounding the same on other XW-P1's?

I have been messing around with the XW-P1 arpeggios. I have been playing them along with track's I recorded from XW-P1. In my opinion these preset arpeggio's are some of the best I have ever played, very musical, rhythmic, and playable.

I use two roland vs8f effects board's installed in a roland vs2400. There is a lot of effect's in them board's, even a vocoder. The vs2400 is still a great machine.I just don't use it as the mastering device as it take's 56 bit down to 24 bit. Better to use external mastering. I love that the XW's have old school midi port's, I can snyc up effect's,and sequencer's,and run through my laptop usb, all at the same time. Good stuff.

I have a p1, and I also really want a g1.

Really enjoyed the casio show. I thought casio would be putting out new synth's too, but from my perspective if casio dropped off from making synth's, at least in the twenty first century they made three great synth's, XW-P1, XW-G1, and PX-5S.

Wow guy's! I did not know of the FZ-1 ,VZ-1, HT-6000, or HT-700. I had mostly been a Yamaha guy in the 80s, so I missed out on some great casio gear. I am going to check utube to see if I can watch video's of these synth's.
