I've been following (and lusting for) the S3000 since I saw the NAMM demos. I currently use a Yamaha MX88 connected to either my Surface Pro or iPad Pro running various DAWs. The MX88 supports audio over MIDI so that I don't need a separate audio interface. This was one of the primary reasons I chose the MX over several other synth/keyboard controllers.
My question for Mike (or anyone else at Casio or on the forum): Is it possible via a firmware upgrade to add audio over MIDI functionality? If so, is this something Casio is looking into? Or, is the lack of this a limitation of the chipset used in 3000's midi implementation? If there's even a possibility of a future firmware upgrade, I'll pull the trigger immediately and replace my MX.
Thanks!
