  1. Unfortunately no. It's exclusive to the 7000 as a package.
  2. PX-560 or PX-5S. 5S has more MIDI controller specific features. Others with MIDI ports are PX-360 and PX-350. All of these will have the same physical action as the later CDP models, not to be confused with CDP-S models (different action). All of them have similar drum kit tones, but the 560 and 5S have detailed drum kit editing tools that dedicated drum machines would be jealous of. All of them have 1/4" line outs.
  3. They are different. It's not just you. The 100 has a piano tone which is more like the (Hamburg) concert grand tones found in most Privia and Celviano models. The 360 has a piano tone more like the Stage Piano tone found in CTX, CTS and some Privia models. Each type of tone has a unique character. You'll find people who prefer one over the other, or people who like both. I personally like both because they each work well for different purposes. One is more mellow, less dynamic and blends in easily. The other has more power, more dynamic and can cut through a mix or noisy room. Hope this helps you make a decision.
  4. It sounds like a problem on the software end of things. It could simply not be handling the MIDI data correctly, perhaps due to high resolution MIDI velocity. Casio provides an off switch for that because they know some software is still (10+ years later) not compatible. Go to the MIDI section of the function menu to turn off high resolution output.
  5. Another thing to check is the pitch bend wheel. Move it up and down fully several times or more, especially if you rarely use it or never use it. The potentiometer needs using to keep it clean. It can cause pitch to drift if erratic.
  6. Do you mean the buttons on the piano no longer respond to touch? Or, are you only saying the keys no longer trigger notes through MIDI? If it's the latter, I would say it's an external issue with the flow of MIDI data, not the piano itself.
  7. I'm sorry. I thought you asked this question, which I answered.
  8. Turn down the modulation wheel. OFF position is all the way down. It should not be centered like the pitch bend wheel.
  9. Unfortunately nothing available. You can use the "my setup" memory function of the keyboard to save various setups you like to use often.
  10. You will want to study the interface products you are considering. Many of them feature XLR jacks which are also TRS jacks, combination jacks. You will know this visually by looking at the XLR jack. It will have a center hole. Note that Casio line out jacks are unbalanced TS, not balanced TRS. A TRS cable can be used, but it will function as a TS cable when connected. TRS is not necessary. High quality can be achieved with TS.
  11. You will need an "audio interface". They can be found built into the motherboard of your computer (as a mic/line input jack) or one can be purchased as a computer add-on accessory. You'll connect audio cables from the LINE OUT standard TS jacks on the PX-S1100 to the input jacks on the audio interface.
  12. I haven't used my MZ-2000 in a while, so memory is foggy. Tone DSP hold freezes DSP from changing when different tones are selected, since tones store the DSP settings. I'll have to look one day and refresh my memory on everything else.
  13. I haven't tried it myself, so I can only guess. If I were to try it, I would look for a powered sub with adjustable crossover. I don't know what the low freq cutoff is for the pianos own internal speakers, so a sub with adjustable crossover would take some experimenting to match up.
  14. Unfortunately it's not possible within the keyboard itself.
  15. Is this for the PX-5S? Shouldn't it be in the PX-5S forum? We also have a downloads section for files.
  16. I'm sorry to hear this. Unfortunately it's not something we can solve on the forums. Since it is new, I would contact the seller you purchased it from for assistance. They should help you arrange a solution, either by repairs or exchange.
  17. Place the ZAL file in the MUSICDAT folder on a USB flash drive. Press media>load>all data to install.
  18. Is this a new purchase? If so, please contact the seller for assistance.
  19. A very low level of white noise is normal. It should not increase or decrease with volume knob adjustments. Normally you should not hear the noise until you place your ears close to the speakers on the keyboard.
  20. Okay. It definitely shouldn't be doing that. Are you within the 3 year warranty period? Unfortunately it sounds like a repair issue.
  21. To be clear, is this occuring while playing tones, like one note will be louder than others, or is it all notes at the same time increasing volume?
