Weird sound on piano tone, but gone after I go to Mixer menu page....
Brad Saucier replied to eldo gultom's topic in PX-560M
Another thing to check is the pitch bend wheel. Move it up and down fully several times or more, especially if you rarely use it or never use it. The potentiometer needs using to keep it clean. It can cause pitch to drift if erratic. -
Piano crashs
Brad Saucier replied to hansalbers1000's topic in Privia PX-S7000 / PX-S6000 / PX-S5000
Do you mean the buttons on the piano no longer respond to touch? Or, are you only saying the keys no longer trigger notes through MIDI? If it's the latter, I would say it's an external issue with the flow of MIDI data, not the piano itself. -
MZ X 500 versus CTX 5000 - is the price difference worth it?

I'm sorry. I thought you asked this question, which I answered. -

CTX pattern sequencer does not have an event editor. -

Turn down the modulation wheel. OFF position is all the way down. It should not be centered like the pitch bend wheel. -

Can you add a short audio clip to your post? -
You will want to study the interface products you are considering. Many of them feature XLR jacks which are also TRS jacks, combination jacks. You will know this visually by looking at the XLR jack. It will have a center hole. Note that Casio line out jacks are unbalanced TS, not balanced TRS. A TRS cable can be used, but it will function as a TS cable when connected. TRS is not necessary. High quality can be achieved with TS.
-
You will need an "audio interface". They can be found built into the motherboard of your computer (as a mic/line input jack) or one can be purchased as a computer add-on accessory. You'll connect audio cables from the LINE OUT standard TS jacks on the PX-S1100 to the input jacks on the audio interface.

I haven't used my MZ-2000 in a while, so memory is foggy. Tone DSP hold freezes DSP from changing when different tones are selected, since tones store the DSP settings. I'll have to look one day and refresh my memory on everything else.

Sound Quality Casio PX S7000
Brad Saucier replied to Pete Wellock's topic in Privia PX-S7000 / PX-S6000 / PX-S5000
I haven't tried it myself, so I can only guess. If I were to try it, I would look for a powered sub with adjustable crossover. I don't know what the low freq cutoff is for the pianos own internal speakers, so a sub with adjustable crossover would take some experimenting to match up. -
Unfortunately it's not possible within the keyboard itself.

Is this for the PX-5S? Shouldn't it be in the PX-5S forum? We also have a downloads section for files.

Is this a new purchase? If so, please contact the seller for assistance.

A very low level of white noise is normal. It should not increase or decrease with volume knob adjustments. Normally you should not hear the noise until you place your ears close to the speakers on the keyboard.
-
Okay. It definitely shouldn't be doing that. Are you within the 3 year warranty period? Unfortunately it sounds like a repair issue.
-
To be clear, is this occuring while playing tones, like one note will be louder than others, or is it all notes at the same time increasing volume?
-
The first step is to familiarize a process where you can manually do everything you want to do in real time. You can use registration memory to quickly change rhythm selections, and then use the rhythm start/stop, intro, ending, and fill buttons, to control how the rhythm plays. Once you can manually play everything in real time, you can use the song sequencer system track to record all of your button presses for automated playback

It's under warranty if it's new. Main volume knob not responding is a warranty claim.
-
You may also look at the CDP-S360. It's a lower price than Privia model but still has the weighted keys. The sounds are equivalent to a CTX model.

Here is some help information for FL Studio regarding selecting a USB MIDI device. You should find "CASIO USB MIDI" show up in the MIDI input settings box shown on that page. For any MIDI software you want to use (like FL Studio) you'll always find a MIDI input settings dialogue like that.
