  1. Velocity Tenor Sax

This is a hex layer Tenor Sax. It combines all of the PX5 Tenor Sax samples into one velocity switched tone. It goes from breathy with a very light touch to bright and punchy with a strong touch.

  2. Ray Nova Stage Setting

This is a basic stage setting with the stock AiR Concert GrPiano on Zone 2 and Standard Drum Set 3 on Zone 1. The Arpeggio is set up to play the Ray Nova phrase (available for download in the phrase category) on loop when it is placed into user phrase slot 118. Press the Sys Setting and Arpeggio button together to put the phrase on "syncro/start" and start playing.

  4. Ridin the Storm Sawtooth Intro - REO Speedwagon

I made this sawtooth wave Stage Setting for the intro to Ridin the Storm Out by REO Speedwagon. This should get you through the entire intro of the song. To perform the intro, I was starting by adjusting the resonance on slider 2 to get right level of nastiness before play. I then hit the low A note and slowly adjusted slider 1 for cutoff to get the nastiness too sweep. I set slider one to max out at the right spot. BTW: I have chorus on the mod wheel if you like to add some move it all the way up. Portamento will sweep you up to the next high C note but to turn around and bend back down to the high A you'll need to use the bender wheel. I set the bender to stop at the right spot. Then adjust slider one back down to lower the cutoff and then release the note to fade out.
    I hope you enjoy.

  5. VL-TONE Rock Rhythm with VL-TONE Piano

Here is Retro Casio for the PX-5S. This is an emulation of the famous VL-TONE Rock rhythm. It also emulates the VL-Tone Piano but with more polyphony and key range (obviously).
The Rock Rhythm is triggered by the upper most B note. It's made with an arpeggio. As a happy accident, variations of the rhythm can be heard on the two adjacent keys.
    Enjoy !!

  6. Concert Grand Piano with Release Key Noise

This Version of the Piano has Key Noises added. Release and Attack sounds are on a hex layer in Zone 2.
Slider 2 adjust the level of attack key noise which adds more low end to the attack that is contained in the original piano sample. The added noise is more apparent in the upper octaves.
Slider 3 adjust the level of release key noise. Adjust to taste.

The default levels were set using headphones. You'll need to adjust the levels depending on your listening environment and style of playing. Start by quickly adjusting the slider levels to the extremes while playing a few notes to get an idea of the sound your adding to the mix. Turn off Zone 1 to hear the key noise alone.
This Piano still includes Early Reflection DSP and the adjustable wet level for it is on Slider 5. Adjust to taste. The stock PX5 piano is dry. If you like a wetter sound then you should try this.
BTW. With Sliders 2, 3 and 5 all the way down this Piano becomes similar to the stock piano. You can get a lot of variation in the piano sound by just playing with all of the sliders and knobs on this stage setting.

  8. AcousticGrand/FM Piano/Syn Strings with short echo delay

Upon initial load you may want to reduce slider3 volume for the strings and up slider 1 for piano. Somehow they got a little to loud in this upload.

    Zone 2- Digital EP
    Zone 3 - AiR 60's EP
    Zone 4 - Synth Strings
Slider 1- Volume for Grand Piano
Slider 2- Volume for Digital EP
Slider 3- Volume for Synth Strings

Concert Grand Piano Shorter Release EQ'ed
This is a modification of the factory preset Stage Setting "0-0 Concert Grand". It has a shorter release time allowing for cleaner note separation during staccato play. I attempted to recreate the same note separation that I noticed in recordings of "Acoustic Piano's". This setting feels really choppy if your used to the original preset but after some time with it you will feel like the original release time was too long.
I've also tweaked the EQ. The low frequency's have been reduced and the high's increased for a brighter sound. Again, I was attempting to get the sound of a real acoustic recording.
