For piano I use the Concert Grand (0-0). I run the 5s through a small mixer into a Space Station V3. The sound is very close to a real piano with no "bell tones". The only "bell tones" I get are on some of the EPs and those are not objectionable. Could someone post an example of the "bell tones"? I'm just not hearing them.

It seems that transposing a sound using Sys Setting is global. Is there a way to transpose an octave up to a particular tone only? Ray

I read this forum regularly. I glean tips from everyone. Anything that helps me get a better sound from the 5s is greatly appreciated. Part of my practice routine is playing tunes with Band-in-a-Box or iReal Pro.

I've been playing for many years. Playing fast on the 5s is the same to me as playing fast on a Steinway. You play enough different keyboards you can play fast on all of them.

"Reducing Amp velocity sense reduces the dynamic range of the sound." The above is why I wouldn't mess with the velocity setting. Reducing the velocity brings the keyboard closer to an organ keyboard.

I've downloaded the .ZAL to my flash drive - MUSICDAT folder. I'm able to scroll to patches I've downloaded but the .ZAL file won't show up on my 5s? Never mind. Still new at this. I was forgetting to select ALL DATA.
