  1. There's another post about the Bb key making a second sound. Changing the volume of the offending keys from 127 to 126 worked for me.
  2. Tried this and it worked on my Bb #6, which was sounding again after a hold on that key. Thanks for posting
  3. I run my Px5s through a CPS Spacestation V3. The Concert Grand sound is awesome. 3D sound. I also use a small mixer.
  4. No wonder the piano sounds crappy. You need to run through a quality amp or headphones.
  5. https://www.keyboardforums.com/threads/casio-px-5s-vs-nord-stage-2-blind-piano-sound-test.25959/ This is a blindfold test between a $1000 Px5s and a $4000 Nord. The sound is great on both pianos. I've had my Px5s for about 5 years. The only time I hear key noise is when it's not hooked up to an amp.
  6. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/search.php?s=center+point+stereo Either one of these amps would do. The larger one will be able to battle with the guitar!
  7. I've had my 5s for about 3 years now and no problems at all. Paired with the SSV3 I always get compliments about how good the piano and EPs sound. Most are surprised when they see that it's a Casio.
  8. Just downloaded your Rhodes. It's very authentic sounding. I'll be using it a lot. Thanks.
  9. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ZStd Just got this stand. A couple of minutes more to set up, but worth it. Rock steady.
  10. I bought my Px5s 2 1/2 years ago. Lots of gigs since then, no problems.
  11. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Spacestation3 Check out this amp/speaker. There's a very long thread about it on the Keyboard Forum. http://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/forums/18/1/The_Keyboard_Corner
  12. https://www.scribd.com/document/261517905/Casio-Privia-PX-5S-FAQ Page 34 should be what you want.
  13. With my 5s on off I hear the up-down clunking. With the 5s on and running through an amp/speakers I don't hear the clunking at all. If you could somehow stop the sound on an acoustic piano you would probably the clunking as well.
  14. Same thing here. Still happening.
  15. I can just barely see the little hitch that you're talking about. That doesn't happen on my 5s. Maybe you should try for a replacement. Ray
  16. Both of these keyboards sound similar. I don't hear anything from either keyboard that you don't hear from a good acoustic piano. One may sound a little brighter than the other. Both sound very good to me.
  17. The Space Station is good for small to medium venues. Large venues it's a personal monitor then, (you should be running FOH then). If you're competing against a stack of Marshalls then it's a personal monitor (again the need for FOH). I've been using the SSV3 for almost 1 1/2 years now with great results. It's just right for solo gigs. I run my PX-5s and XWP1 through it with no volume problems.
  18. I don't have that "bell sound" on my PX-5s. I didn't hear it on a demo PX-5s at GC. Could someone please post a recording of this "bell sound"?
  19. What kind off amplification do you use aron? I use a CPS Space Station Ssv3. Best amp/speaker I've ever owned. Everything on the PX5s and the XW P1 sounds very good through it.
  20. If you still have the original settings, The Way is at 5-0. If you've loaded the Alt settings, The Way is at 0-5.
  21. http://sc3900.wix.com/px-5s#!how-to-videos/c9k5 Go to this site if you haven't already. Lots of info. Ray
  22. The piano patch at 0-0 can't be beat IMO. Ray
  23. Like aron, I would like to hear a sample of this "bell tone" on the Concert Grand. My 5s sounds very even through the section above and below middle C. No "bell tones".
  24. I would go to your music store and try out another 5s. My 5s just doesn't have any "bell tones". The notes you mention, on my 5s sound just like the rest of my keyboard.
