  1. Okay dear u talked about arpegiator... I have a lil problem with that... I am a novice keyboard user ..have bought 870 IN the Indian version of your 800. My problem is I cant do trills yet not that perfectly... So I use the arpeggiator effect for instruments like Banjo or Santoor whatever. Now the problem is like I am also using some rhythm at let's say typical 101 BPM for the song. But for the arpeggiator to sound perfect I have to set BPM at like such 135 BPM. Now whenever I enable the arpeggiator through some memory bank the whole tempo gets 135 including rhythm. Or if I just use the arpeggiator button to enable it ...arpeggiator will function at just 101 BPM which won't sound well enough.. So can we just make the tempo of jus arpeggiator different through whatever trick u advocating here? Can we? Secondly, though my novice playing be at fault but can we customize the delay the key is pressed to the arpeggiator to fire? I mean I often get arpeggiator hit on most notes which most of time I don't. I mean I have watched some videos of Yamaha or Korg players... their arpeggiator works just fine. Unfortunately, I didn't find any video of casino players playing those songs since most pro guys uses Korg Roland or at least Yamaha. So I was thinking do I need to improve my playing skills or its just some typicality of Casio keyboards that those instruments don't play that well on Casio's?
  2. I do jus have Casio 870 IN unfortunately that can import AC7 formats but won't let u create or edit rhythms. Although I downloaded some Indian-style rhythm (expansion pack) for it from Casio's official site but they are very limited. So I thought if I can create or modify the existing AC7 rhythm somehow and then import it back on my 870 IN... is that possible? Or if I create something in DAW then convert it to AC7 format or something that my keyboard recognizes. 😀
  3. And one more thing I miss most is that pads cant load audio wav data... or can it? ...Still haven't got one yet so ain't sure.. but seems like... with all the exploring abt this otherwise awesome instrument I had done yet.
  4. I wud have liked if we cud stack effects in some preferred way/order rather than just enabling/disabling them on some part or whole output. The order we apply effects makes a difference on lot occasions. Like we can do in DAWS.
  5. With all that hearing I wud say CT-X9000 (CT-X5000 indian equivalent) quite cheap here in India. Just around 285 us dollar. And CT-X870 comes around $170. And I was thinking it was costly. or maybe the price has dropped in 2019.
  6. Volume control only? That's very sad! But yeah still I think when u attach it to DAW through USB cable. It has the ability to send expression pedal midi events too... right? So cant we use those events there to control whatever we want there? Or more the same way the pitch bend wheel midi events?
  7. Dear Brad Saucier... What do u mean by expression only? What exactly are expressions? See! I don't have any experience with any keyboard whatsoever right now.... But I intend to have one and Casio CT-X9000IN is what I decided for ...so I have gone through its manual 'lil bit in order to aquaint myself with musical jargons and instrument itself so that I wont be blank when I finally go to local store to get one. Which I am gonna do shortly. Just taking a while ... I mean getting acquainted with these keyboards things on youtube and manuals sanuals. Actually in manuals they also have just one line... that u set as a expression pedal. But details are not there. Now what I understand through common sense is sustain pedal is kinda on/off switch type... where u just have one condition any time... either on or off. But expression pedal is used for things like vol control or effect control... not written there in manual ... but I think that's what it does... seeing some videos about it on youtube. Basically what it differs with sustain pedal is... it sends variable resistance value instead of just on/off condition in case of sustain pedal. That's what it got ... variable resistor inside.. No? ... Anyway which can be used as a hint for some variable parameter... I mean which has a range like from 0-127 or something like that. Its not sustain pedal kinda thing which just outputs 0 or 1 condition i.e. on/off. I mean that's what my general intelligence tells me. Rest u kinda seems like a expert here and more u had one or have experience with that... I am just theoretical right now u c. Never had a real instrument ... neither do manual says anything clearly ... so forgive me if I am wrong here. But I just wanna know here is then what expression pedal does than ... what it controls actually? What expressions?
