  1. I own a music store in Southern California (Kaye's Music Scene). I've been disappointed for years with Casio's drum kits. They've always sounded terrible up until the new AiX sound engine came out this year. Finally, the sounds on these new models are great, especially at these prices. Casio had done a great job with Privia products featuring really good pianos, electric pianos and organs but all there other products still had poor quality drums, not very good sounding guitars, basses, horns, etc. Whether you like their user interface compared to other brands, you will be impressed with the new sounds, effects and editing capabilities. Comparing these models to older products, all I can say is go and find one and listen to them!
  2. Scott, I am a Casio dealer in Southern Ca, and I've asked this same question to my rep. I too like the option of locking the styles tempo or having the ability to just change to a new style while it is still playing and have the style change to the factory preset tempo. When customers are in the store and just trying out the keyboard they often hate the styles because they are playing them way to fast or way to slow when auditioning all the styles. Yamaha has a function which you can lock the tempo or it will change to the preset tempo. Mike, maybe you could do a software revision to add this feature. Scott, you do have to save registrations to have the styles play with the tempo you would like. It works but I would rather just being to change rhythms and have the tempo change to the defaults
  3. Wow! First thing I've noticed is you've added the leslie simulation speed slow to fast to the foot pedal. Dan Yuter was in the store today and he thought this was going to be added but he doesn't have his sample yet so he came in and played with the store's unit. Now I've got to experiment with all the other setups. For those of you following this forum but have not had a chance to try the PX-5S yet I can tell you that this keyboard has everything going for it! Price, Weight, Touch and Sounds! If you are in the Los Angeles area and can't find one to demo please feel free to come to my store in the San Fernando Valley and let me show you this exciting new keyboard. 4. Mike, Your directions were great! I just completed the upgrade and I'm printing out the new features manual as I'm typing. George Kaye Kaye's Music Scene Reseda, Ca
  5. Mike, I have downloaded the new stage settings version 1.10 but I cannot find the 1.10 firmware. Where is this? George Kaye
