  1. Hey Joeyman123. Do you know who hangs out with musicians. ....Drummers.
  2. That’s probably because you are a real musician. I’m a musical mechanic.
  3. If that’s what I have to do, then I will have to do that. But you must admit the process is time and labor intensive and because you must make several loads and saves and renaming it leads to losing data by making one mistake and then you get to start all over again. Speaking for a friend. I never make mistakes. I will probably never have to buy another keyboard (five should be enough). But if I ever do it will not be a keyboard that takes such a convoluted process just to save song data.
  4. Thanks Brad but you will need to give a little more information for me to process that. What I am doing now is: I load a full bank of all saved 96 song registrations. I find the song info I want to add to the new set. Say the song is named 123 and is in bank 2-7 of file A. So that song info is now loaded into the keyboard. I want to put that song into set 1. So with the song loaded I open and save the registration to Bank 1-4 then rename the registration and save it under set 1. Now the problems begin. I have to know, going in, which song should go into which bank number and I have to know which order I want to play the set. And if I want to change the order I get to repeat the process. Not to mention I don’t get to start from a blank slate. The names of the original bank A are still in the registrations. This is crazy. And way too time consuming to be practical. I’m not dissing Casio’s process because I understand registrations allow for changes of all rhythms and tones within a single song. However, my Roland was so much simpler. You set up the song data. Hit save and named it. It was placed in the file you named in alphabetical order. You could then easily move songs from a master list into any sets you wanted and easily change the order songs within the set. This keyboard just doesn’t fit my particular performance style or criteria.
  5. Okay, I have managed to save registrations for all 498 songs in my repertoire. And I have to say that Casio did not make that easy. So now the next problem. I want to break out the master song lists to form sets. But I can’t figure out how to move a registration from one list into a set without reproducing the song again. Ex: File “A” has 96 song registrations and I want to take 10 of those songs and save them to a set called “club1”. Has anyone developed an easy way to manipulate registration files.
  6. When I use the pitch wheel, the accompaniment doesn’t follow the chord. Any ideas?
  7. Thanks yes. I have filed a problem report with tech support but I’m not sure anything will be done if it turns out to be an isolated problem for just a few keyboard models. Even if they decide to fix the problem it will have to be a firmware update and they will wait until they have other issues that need attention. It may be as Brad said that I will have to get a MIDI event processor. Down side is they are in the $120 to $150 range and that is practically what I paid for the voice processor. I will say that this Perform VK is the easiest, overall best sounding and (because of the the mic stand attachment) most convenient vocal processor I’ve ever used.
  8. I have a TC Helicon Perform VK connected to my MZ-X500 via Midi cable. Everything was working great until I noticed that every time I change bank numbers it turned off my reverb. And it wasn’t a simple matter to turn it back on. I had turn turn the reverb knob through all the rooms and ranges to get the reverb back again. Which means I would have to set the reverb for every song. Changing presets doesn’t bring it back. And on one bank number it actually changes back to an unset reverb. The Harmony and Echo are not affected. I know this must be a MIDI send command but I don’t know how to stop it. I have reverb through my mixer but the reverb on the VK is really exceptional and I lose the convenience of the controls at my finger tips. Any help would be appreciated.
  9. Brad, while you’re here. Maybe you can help with another question. Is there a way to save mixer settings. When I make adjustments to rhythms in the mixer and save in registration the mixer returns to it original setting when I come back to the registration.
  10. Is there a way to save power on settings? I must reset all my parameters ( speakers off, fingering, etc.) each time I turn on the keyboard.
  11. Okay. I’ll give it a try and hope it works. You have been a big help and I thank you for your help and guidance.
  12. Thanks you helped a lot but I’m still not quite there. I now can save all 96 song in bank slots by title. But how do I start over for the next 96. Opening new folders doesn’t seem to be the answer.
