NEW TONES - DX ELECTRIC PIANO, STRINGS, VIOLIN
casio_style replied to Corneliu's topic in CT-X3000 / CT-X5000
Maybe editing the tone in the HEX editor .... Well, here, of course, you need to understand the binary code of the tone and you need to find what exactly needs to be changed in the code in order to unlock the tone file with the synthesizer. And it's not a fact that this is at all possible ... -
NEW TONES - DX ELECTRIC PIANO, STRINGS, VIOLIN

Instrument tones from CT-X3000 / 5000 are not suitable for CT-X8000 / 9000 synthesizers. -
DSP instruments conflict with each other, is this normal?
casio_style replied to Just Alex's topic in CT-X3000 / CT-X5000
The Casio CT X series has 3 DSP effect processors. In this case, you can use only one effect processor for solo, 2 other processors are reserved and work on the rhythm part (auto accompaniment). They can also work in a song sequencer. -
You can create your own music presets, with your own custom chord progressions, and you can create new presets even from custom(user) styles.

I know that the casio mz x500 can convert styles from the yamaha synthesizer. I would like to know if it can do the same on the casio mz x300?

Casio Data Manager for CT-X changes keyboard settings.
casio_style replied to Just Alex's topic in CT-X3000 / CT-X5000
Without going into details, I will answer briefly: it will not be possible to delete user data, either through the style or through the midi file. And you can control the synthesizer, turn on the desired timbres, effects, and more. -
Casio Data Manager for CT-X changes keyboard settings.
casio_style replied to Just Alex's topic in CT-X3000 / CT-X5000
Not sure if I understood your question correctly. Casio Data Manager "communicates" with the synthesizer using sysexes and batch data transfer, and there may well be some commands that reset some of the synthesizer's default settings. -

This means that your bootloader does not work with your synthesizer, as with a midi device, but otherwise. Casio Data Manager works with a synthesizer just like a midi device. -

A midi device in Windows OS cannot be used by two devices at the same time. This is not a Casio problem or a Casio Data Manager problem. This is how Windows works. No need to invent non-existent glitches. -
Hello, I don't know if you worked in the direction in which you want to combine the Roland Integra 7 and the Casio CT X5000. Sound modules and synthesizers or midi keyboards are usually connected directly to each other. When connecting them through a co-computer, in any case, all sorts of delays and malfunctions are inevitable. I would also be interested to know how you were going to assign instruments to the accompaniment parts. It's not that fast you can do it, although there are probably many presets on the Roland Integra 7 to save the desired settings. And if no instruments are assigned, the Roland Integra 7 will most likely play only the sounds of the GM bank.

I don't think the Casio CT X3000 sequencer is that much inferior to the WK7600 sequencer. The same 16-track sequencer with step editing. The difference on CT X3000 is that notes can be inserted only along the quantization grid, and not wherever you want, as on the WK7600. Also, some controllers, such as volume, pan, chorus, reverb, delay, selection of the instrument's timbre, are brought into a separate mixer for the song solo. On the WK7600, all these controllers must be assigned in the sequencer itself. As for me, it's more convenient for me in the mixer to do all this. There are no midi clocks in both synthesizers. And what's wrong with the line-level audio output on the CT X3000 synthesizer? I probably already recorded a couple of hundred songs, from this release, I did not experience any problems. If there are problems here, then the problem is in the audio cable or further in the diagram in another device. I used google translator for translation, so errors are possible
-
In fact, it is more convenient to turn off the rhythm parts of the auto accompaniment on the сt x5000 than on the WK 7600. This can be done without going into the mixer. Press the part button (the light is on), use the "+" and " - " buttons to select the mixer section 1–8 rhythm, and now with the buttons 1 – 8 you can turn on and off the auto accompaniment parts.

Strange, everything works for me. Maybe it's the firmware? I have the latest version 1.08 Now I checked it again. The phrase must be written down immediately on the first circle, from the second circle the size of the phrase will go astray. In this case, quantization must be 4t, 8t, 16t or 32t, or off.
-
Everything is simple here. Before recording a phrase, select a style with a 3/4 size, for example, style 041. Now, if you record a phrase, the phrase will also be recorded in a 3/4 size, and you can do any number of measures in the phrase.
-
Probably Google translator translated the meaning inaccurately. I meant that one phrase pad can play one phrase with several voices in sequence, and I explained how to do this.
-
It turns out that the phrase pads on the CASIO CT X3000 / 5000 can play the recorded phrase with several voices. This is not written anywhere in the manual, but there is such an opportunity and it can be used on long phrases of 4 - 8 - 16 measures. So: Record the Phrase - Pattern - Arpeggio to the selected Phrase Pad as usual, selecting one desired Voice. Then select the Voices you want to embed in the phrase and store them in Registration Memory. Next, we turn on the recording of the same phrase pad again, to start recording, press PLAY / STOP, but do not press the keys and do not write anything, we just listen to the recorded phrase and at the moment when you need to change the timbre on the recorded phrase, press the button registration memory with the desired tone stored. So, if necessary, you can embed several timbres, sequentially in one phrase. And so the recorded phrase pad will play the phrase with several voices.

Will ctx5000 styles work on the wk7600?
casio_style replied to Cman's topic in WK-7500/7600 - CTK-7000/7200
Yes, they will work, but the sound of the styles will need to be adjusted. At the same time, the sound of some Styles cannot be correctly corrected, because the wk7600 does not have the necessary instrument timbres that are available on the casio ctx5000.- 1 reply

Help loading and using Casio .ckf style files in wk7600
casio_style replied to Cman's topic in WK-7500/7600 - CTK-7000/7200
Add to the topic, maybe the problem was this. It is better to press the "function" button earlier, and then hold down the "function" button and press the "card" button. Sometimes it happens, like I pressed these buttons together, but in fact, the "card" button was pressed first, and in this case the menu for playing midi files comes out. -

Yes, you are not in that mode. 4. Turn on the synthesizer, press the "USERRYTHMS" button, select the cell number where we want to load the style, then press the "CARD" and "FUNCTION" buttons TOGETHER, the <Rythm Load> menu will appear on the screen, using the "up" or "down" buttons "choose the style you want and press" ENTER " -

How to load a style from a memory card. 1. The memory card must be formatted on the synthesizer, and one folder is created there "MUSICDAT" 2. The style must be put into the "MUSICDAT" folder (by connecting the memory card to the computer, in any way possible) 3. Insert the memory card into the synthesizer. 4. Turn on the synthesizer, press the "USERRYTHMS" button, select the cell number where we want to load the style, then press the "CARD" and "FUNCTION" buttons TOGETHER, the <Rythm Load> menu will appear on the screen, using the "up" or "down" buttons "choose the style you want and press" ENTER " I usually do this on my СTK 7000 -
I checked it works. The program may be of interest to those who do not want or do not know how to edit a midi file on a computer and are used to working in a synthesizer sequencer. Moreover, on a synthesizer, you can immediately check the sound, after changing instruments on the midi parts, in general, you can quickly improve and adjust the overall sound of the composition and save it later for yourself. Thanks. Of course, the question is not entirely for this thread of the topic, but I will ask, so as not to create a new topic: could you write a program for converting midi into phrase pad files, for CASIO CTX 3000?

SysEx Message to Select Rhythm on CTK-7000
casio_style replied to Martyn's topic in WK-7500/7600 - CTK-7000/7200
From the midi manual, you can see that there is such an opportunity. I wanted to access the custom tones via sysex on mixer A, but so far I haven't. Probably few people research this. If there was one example of how to write a sisex correctly, then it would go. Not everything is clear from the manual. "20.1 Message Classifications Basically, the operation that corresponds to Instrument-specific system exclusive messages is parameter data transfer. The following operations can be performed from an external device using this parameter transfer message. • Modification of an individual Instrument parameter • Batch modification of a particular Instrument parameter set • Import of an individual Instrument parameter value • Batch import of a particular Instrument parameter set In addition to parameters being used as device setting values, some parameters act as commands when received by the Instrument and as device status information when sent from the Instrument. The following table shows the parameter category for each type of transfer.
