  1. So .. I have a WK-7600. What I want to do is split the keyboard so there's Upright Bass on the Left, and Grand Piano on the Right. I then want to take the Left-Right Outputs of the keyboard and run them into two separate channels on my Keyboard Amp, a Traynor Keymaster K4. Each input channel on the Amp has its own EQ controls (bass, mid, treble). What I'd like to achieve, is with the Upright Bass on the Left going into one of the channels on the K4, use that channel's EQ controls to really tighten and clarify just the sound of the Upright Bass.. The Grand Piano on the right, going into its own separate channel on the K4, would similarly use that channels EQ to get the best Grand Piano sound. My question: Is the Left-Right Output of the 7600 actually putting out a L-R split of the keyboard, and to what extent is that affected by where you make the split on the keyboard? So for example, suppose I decided (just for the sake of argument) to make the split at the lowest C on the 7600. That would leave only 8 notes (black and white keys) below that lowest C. Does that mean then that only the tones of those 8 keys below the C would be going to the Left Output of the 7600 and all the rest above that low C going to the Right Output? Thanks in advance.
  2. Hi all. So, I have a WK-7600 keyboard. The manual shows how you can split the keyboard for different sounds (eg: piano on the right, bass guitar on the left). The manual also shows how you can layer different sounds (eg: strings layered over piano, so that both sounds are heard at the same time). The manual also shows how you can split AND layer, in effect giving you three sounds. But it only shows how you can split & layer on the right (eg: strings & piano on the right, bass guitar only on the left). It says nothing about how to split & layer on the left while leaving the right just the split sound (eg: piano and bass on the left, strings on the right). So, I'm assuming that splitting & layering is only possible with the right side of the keyboard, and that the left cannot be split & layered like the right. Is that correct? Or is there some workaround for that that isn't made clear or obvious in the manual? Thanks
  3. Hi all, Totally new to this site, but I figured this is the place to go with a question. I recently purchased a used WK-7600 in excellent condition, and at an equally excellent price. I'm not a keyboard player, per se, but I got it for studio purposes ... so. I want to reset this keyboard to its original factory settings. In the Owner's Manual, p. E-135, Step 1 and Step 2 are pretty straight forward. But at Step 3, before you initialize, it asks you to select between either "Parameter" or "All". That's where I start to get lost in the weeds. My question then is, What is the difference between "Parameter" and "All", what are the pros and cons of each , and how will choosing one or the other effect the operation of the keyboard? (I guess that's technically three questions.) As I said, my goal is to return this keyboard to its original, just-out-of-the-box state. The main problem is that I don't know, and can't seem to find out, what those original factory settings were. Were they a "Parameter" setting or were they an "All" setting? Thanks in advance.
