  1. Oh Yeah that one would nailed it I want that using step sequencer it would solve so much thumbs up for that one.
  2. New Air Grand Sound Engine is actually a dead give away it isn't Air sound Engine, Expect something that it means this uses the same principle tech behind AIR but for the purpose of recreating the sound , vibe ,nuances any thing a pianist would notice of a Grand Piano with the audio speaker system should be close to a Grand piano. It doesn't mean better then current AIR rather then expand for the purpose of the Grand experience by hearing it. Some probably think o.k but then they could create this engine in a keyboard for which a keyboardist can connect some speaker system but that won't be the same. That what I think this new engine is outfitted for in this form factor audio to which Casio applied their engineering skills together with Bechstein to create the Grand Piano match to it experience. AIR Grand Sound is specifically build for that purpose I'm eager to hear from pianist here going about these piano in 3 day's of playing no more no less.
  3. I would like a seamless cross fade or some cross over for sample loops when I switch to another while playing on the XW, Sometimes I have two matching and diverse loops and want one to take over the other with no timing issue's specially when its a bit of a intro, break switching between step sequence and sample.
  4. I got busy updating the interstellar package then I decide to create a new Crunchy package specifically for looping, Created a short loop from those patches and step sequences its a bit sloppy I was surprised there me making this its kinda fun noodle-jam . Funkalicious.MP3
  5. Oh real hammers this make me quiet speechless hope dealers in my area's will have one to play on.
  6. It happens occasionally when certain user slots are getting full or all of them specially Performance user slots. It could also happen when a performance has to process allot at once by the amount of routing like controls, Pbend, assignable knobs and switching performance while using them noticeable latency with the screen not keeping up character screen gets blank or file names looked garbled the G1 freezes.
  7. I also noticed another Casio Gp500 what is that one when ? It gave me chills through my spine hearing it there is so much and little you can have in life T_T. The phrase I just wet myself came to mind. Guess that vid was to soon
  8. Another mysterious name "Grand Hybrid" I though then I saw the subtle hint in the introduction video which gave me the ah-haa moment. This is not a small step its a huge one, As a beginner pianist/keyboardist I can surely appreciate an instrument having the realism to play with every nuance each finger can press the key with. See if you notice the subtle hint B .
  9. Same here, plus those things have timing issues can hear it in every vid there no seamless transition. I've noticed it on occasion with XW to.
  10. So this happens you've created a fresh new sample being it a loop or sampled instrument on the G1, But all of you're banks are full or you don't know which one are and/or they could contain a sample you liked but have not saved them yet, You wish you knew and don't want to destroy the sample just made because it's cool and might not reproduce it that way. what to do O.o ?. Don't worry if you have not saved any of the sample bank or properly named them. While the upper screen shows "!temp". Press the menu select save, the bank used to sample to is select something like *U:8 Be aware if you're not in the save menu and select another bank the temp is lost. Bank "U:8" mean user bank 8 is the bank which is used for sampling at the moment. At this point don't worry about you're sample because its still in the temp, Use the down arrow key to point at the first character of the file "Untitled". Give it a file name loop1 , inst#3 or anything you want to name it. Press Enter, Choose yes and the file currently in U:8 will be saved. Press exit once to leave the save menu to go back to the looper menu but!. While in the looper menu with !temp on the screen press write to save you're sample be careful not to press exit more then once or you exit the looper menu also. Don't worry if you did press the looper button to return, If you switch mode or selected another tone performance etc you're sample will be lost. Now its save to do anything else, The sample bank holding a sample is saved on the SD card and the new sample created in the temp bank got saved to memory. Off course if all the bank where free or expandable you can save you're sample on any of them .
  11. So if the Doepfer works like that it means the computer could find it. Does the device or software recognize the PX5S as an midi input device?.
  12. There is an increase in Looper stomp boxes these things range in size and functionality plus they getting cheaper. Or get an Casio with build in sampler, looper. Looper Stomp boxes worth a try it lets you jam connect the output to you're computer and use something like for instance audacity to record audio. Its what I call the little man studio rigs. It ain't much but budget wise gets you going.
  13. I made a patch with brass and strings to create an old kind of country , western sound. I find that kind of music so versatile in playing style like the stabs with violins and little glissando effects. It would be a nice addition to add so far I got two patches in the works trying to get some of the country style synthesized. Heck I even try flat picking with key's )
  14. Fred Jerkins III on twitter https://twitter.com/FredJerkins Practicing on a Casio before a gig. https://instagram.com/p/6gq6mVScBP/
  15. The XW synth is to much for some reason I'm more behind this synth then the other ones I have. The annoying thing is access time when I need it at inspired moments. 1 : Its to BIG to carry around it wont fit in my bag. 2 : I need a XW at the form factor size of an SA. 3 : It must be compatible with its bigger brethren. 4 : It must have SD cart I don't mind if it can do only two step sequence patterns. 5 : Similar performance mode every function the XW-G1 has include multi-key 6 : One sample bank suffice as long it has max lenght 16 bt Norm-At mode
  16. Composite that is indeed quiet right founding that was a bit trippy. I've noticed it with a few other tones also but did not looked further this changes a lot. I've also found you're posting about combining edited tones and using cutoff and resonance quiet useful it changes making Performance patches even without editing separate tones to get them less muddy. I got a few things on my list. 1 : Using arpeggio as an envelope 2 : Using Phrase as filter automation. 3 : Using DSP as a tone this one new I've discovered the 2 DSP like Wah and another DSP effect gives a less subtle but melodic tone with combined tones Some of the stepping the G1 does are a bit off but slowing things down with LFO seems to do the trick but suffers a lesser fast attack on sounds which ''seems'' to get resolved with 1/16 arpeggio or step-sequence giving a phased sound effect with less buzz but that only go's with how far the filters are adjusted. 4 : Using reverb as an envelope.
  17. Mike get lots of question from fooks that not going to work to answer them personally that why there is (thankfully) this great forum just ask away and some of the community members would have an answer for you're question which would help others also searching for that. If its very technical in nature then a Pro would gladly kick in there are members with specific knowledge background. Just ask away and wait. Btw have you tried the WK threads to find what you're looking for.
  18. On the road to my work I use the metro , train and bus its quiet a travel but after years you wont notice the distance. Fired up my phone and listen to you're song the morning where sunny and fresh like it rained and the dew glistering on the leafs like nature is greener and the air clear breathing easy anyway. It was like a zen moment cause soundcloud list after you're song got interesting really like meditation if I could film it I would done that every sound of a song felt in place. now that is music when it gives you a good feeling zen like.
  19. Jamming with PX5S and XW-G1 The first from Berlin the second I don't remember from which band It just sprung out while I was jamming a beat. Take My Breath Away. Familiar Tune For Which I've Forgot The Name From Familiar Tune Which I forgot The Name From.MP3 Take My Breath Away.MP3
  20. Lots of guitars in that song would suggest some chorus guitar on the left with arpeggio or a choir/synth pad left and lead on the right, its an awesome song. I'm trying out Typical Male Tina Turner and Queen Radio Gaga.

    Chirps FX

    Version 0.1

    72 downloads

Sampled Instrument FILE. Load into sample player then go to Tone User bank 200 and select the bank where the file is loaded in. Experimented with reverse recording with the sampler and edited with external recorder by recording the sound into it and slowed down the speed then using the XW-G1 editor to make the patch all done with experimenting. What I've done is recorded a step sequence called ReverseForwrd (available for download from interstellar pakage) and recorded it as a reverse loop then I recorded that back into the roland micro br80 and played it back by slowing the playback speed to 25% this is different on the micro br80 because you retain the same fidelty as you would with normal speed but now slower which gives a different sonic Fx. I liked it so much that I recorded it back into my computer chopped the good bits out and imported them as multiple waves into the XW-G1 editor and made this patch out of it one word. AWESOME.
