You can use control for channel 1 and channel 8 to 16 in case of the XW-G1 , the P1 has more channels. When you're programming a channel such as C1 / Control 1. Navigate to the trackparam menu from there, you can assign which channel make use of control information for C1. Press Step sequence button brings the Sseq mode up. Then press the edit button a menu comes up and you see Trk on/off , Step Edit , Track Param etc. There are two way's for selecting channels either is with the same result. Navigate to Trk on/off press enter, go to part and use No/Yes for selecting Ctl1 or the other ones. Then press exit button once, Navigate to Track Param to assign at Ctrl chan which channel it has to use. The second one is if you're in the Sseq mode menu select Step Edit and use the Part buttons - / + to go into the Ctrl channel pattern panel of choice either Ctl1 or the other 3. Then press exit button once. Navigate to Track Param to assign at Ctrl Chan which channel it has to use. Same is for C2,C3 and C4. You can do lots of stuff with Ctrl like changing tones for a particular channel or panning , reverb and what not. I use it as midi-cc FX module

Like it Casio has not updated the sites yet with the specifications but they sure put a beauty to demo it I have to nag about one thing already it could do without a speaker as headphones and external speakers have became common with create sound out of them. Oh and try to find this one :\

By editing an performance reverb and chorus send level and saving it wont change the send levels for both Step sequence and Performance. You need to edit each separate and save them in their own mode. The global reverb and chorus can be set to a level which send to all modes Performance /Tone ./Sseq. Well actually the whole synth. When a step sequence has reverb, chorus in it you can use the mixer and set a send value either to a specific level or to zero for none for all channel or certain channels and save that particular Step seqeunce. A step sequence pattern can also be programmed how much reverb or chorus it uses by using CC information and a value to that particular channel using "CTRL" 1 to 4 for that particular pattern channel. If in performance mode a specific value is set for reverb or chorus to channel 1 to 4 will only affect these channels it won't change any reverb, chorus value from channel 8 to 16. However you can assign the knobs to effect total reverb/chorus and which channel 1 to 4 may be affected by that send value change.

My apology for the anguish, grief to suffer, I only mend well there are indeed several cases where misuse of Creative commons license have occur. With that in mind I for one need to know the purpose for it to agree on. As Gary has mentioned in his own way . I'm dutch and so in the Netherlands we take even the simplest of an non legal/ legal clause not for granted (''in some cases"). Please don't anger its a minor thing but people forget attach their own disclaimer with the license. Such as " I only ask that people DO NOT SELL these patches on Ebay or elsewhere out of respect for my wishes that they be free to anyone. " Cheers

Have they been made to be sold then?. I don't like to be trolled but I have not seen anyone yet on this forum asking to agree to license agreement before downloading or from the forum in general, Could also be that I missed that section and have to re-read what I've agreed on to this forum. Personally I think if you're patches are not ''free'' as mend for members on this site. If for any reason you ask for a license then provide a demonstration , youtube channel etc. Before letting people agree to something they don't know of. I also think if someone should provide patches and such license agreement they have to provide a link to their own site not this forum. And I believe we try to learn as much and share our experience to make this a blossoming forum for these great synthesizers/keyboard and piano's for anyone at least that how I feel about it. Maybe Scott could shed some light to this, Maybe i'm over thinking to much from it and drop this conversation.

Hi congrats with the XW-G1 , I recommend to watch the XW-G1 clinics on youtube Casio Music Gear channel as a good starter source for how to's. You can use the search function of the forum also to see if you're particular question already has an answer enjoy .

Its something like an expectation, like you want something so much to see it get realized in some sort of way but you don't know if it ever will. And then it happens but you don't know how it looks/works or if its like you though it is and then speculation start. And a teaser does that if rumors had it and a teaser appears you know its for reals, A teaser shows you a small fragment to get you excited and want to see more of it. You going to ask yourself how does it work what can I do with it, Is it the next big thing. Crowds go wildly in their speculation of "what if's" if a teaser appears. Teasers in the movie industry have that effect 100x fold if you know the film "Pan labyrint" will the second movie be just as exhilarating as the first what will the story be, that kind of thing .

Its also a structure that if not understood well could lead to complication. Which raises another thing and that is third party development if its leads to this then there have to be rules about approval and consent it will change the nature of this site/forum complete but still something to think about.

First I find the data editor a fine piece of addition to the synthesizer, I have used it now for a while to drop samples and find, it very nifty how it sets the range over the key's automatically. I have one request after you've selected waves and about to save them the editor ask for "gain level" this sets the volume or velocity value to all samples. The thing is It sets the same "gain" value for all samples. That is nice and all but is it possible for the data editor to set a gain value per sample while selecting multiple of them to load at once with the same menu used as for loading them. This prevents to redo a whole package because one sampled FX is to soft. or not in balance with volume with the rest of the samples. And will lead to less confusion looking at a small popup window asking for gain level before saving the file. I don't expect regular updates with the editor but maybe this request finds its way Thank you.

License ? Do you have some legal agreement with Casio for some sort or is this a promo to sell them I'm confused with this offering.
