Skip to 11:44 that part is more interresting its a very long video Joy .

I fiddled long enough with the G1 now I'm more acquainted with it mind you I'm not a professional musician although with more practice and the piano lesson I'm taking for several months it's getting there so here is one of my many creations its not a well put together performance patch but after a few try's something like this came out.

I tried to upload a step sequence but its not allowed why is that?. Performance files can be uploaded as solo-synth files.
Am I doing something different for the server not to accept the ZSS files.

Ah I love that Paula Abdul demo song those where the times, Wish Casio preserved those demo for all their synth and keyboard I would love to hear this on my G1.

The repaired XW-G1 update is available on the Casio site. It now shows it works through Windows 8.1, which is what I just used to update my G1 and everything worked great.
XW-Addict, where did you see this about the sample looper volume?
So it's now save to do the update .No wait I'm incorrect it was only wave level indicator for user wave tone's, And the external part volume Its still about version 1.11. I must have shifted in time travelling . However I notice a little late that the G1 Data editor had been updated to 1.2.0.
-
I'm to freak about trying the update out on the G1 I would love to because the new update can control sample looper volume, so would only do it when its 100% pooch risk free.

I'm curious about the 3 demo songs in the XW , who made them and how is it played could it be a chain combined with a phrase recording or an smf file.
-
I've stumbled on the same thing on the G1 you've have to keep track of all files change one and a particular song changes or does something totally different.
Some kind of file management should keep track of the formats together and list them accordingly.

I've seen a considerate price drop for the Casio synths as well the P1 went from 600 euro to 389 so its some sort of sign right.

What also would be great is with the keyshift switch and multifunction key in performance mode hogs away key's they like enabling an extra set of switches on the keyboard. Ok multi-key is a different story it could have been extra set of programmable buttons or an external by midi to a keypad but the keyshift button could us have strike notes to as well switching chords.

I wouldn't know where to begin I have a eclectic taste in music.

OMGoooosh that a MasSivE!! keyboard take my money

Per zone or tone reverb , chorus, eq , bus adjusting would be nice to mostly all tones fall together creating this clog of sound it can give nice effect but mostly at random and disappear again. It takes a few attempts to adjust tones getting same loudness level as other tones most tones sound louder then others a feature at which you can directly adjust a set of sounds would be nice to have.

Ah! Darkhouse NightScreech song has triumphed in this holiday season. We went crazy dancing! The song liked to my friends.
Darkhouse NightScreech has been very successful among my friends. The song was repeated again and again, again and again... it's a hit!
Thank you!

Beside a few other stuff I hope the next XW would have an audio-interface through the usb that connect for a daw.

something like one of us makes a drum loop a few bars long put it on mp3 send it to each other so one can do melody and another one does bass etc back and forth only if time lends a hand off course it could take a few weeks

Day motion version 2 performance mode patch in the work. By accident I learned solo synth can be played by the step sequencer also one draw back is if the tone changes it also changes how the step sequence sounds but the step sequence standard stores the solosynth selected. I was happy very happy cause the step seqeunce controls did something awesome to it got a bit messy when I tried to much so I saved two version on the G1 to rethink stuff here are two demo's of the performance patch a work in progres from here on I'll just list the patches here and demo's on soundcloud.
Left hand soft string + sweep synth
middle C - Seashore which been used with arp to slap in sync with drum.
Right hand Hirezmotion vox solosynth.

I listened to and commented on these tracks the other day when they showed up in my soundcloud inbox. You work some nice sounds into your tunes. Color me impressed.
Merry Xmas,
Gary
Thanks Its a first that I worked with performance mode stuff usually I do stuff in a DAW and sequence everything which kills creativity, now I can do one take and play on top I've discovered sound morphing using nrpn and sliders. My second version of the daymotion performance is also in the works added a demo of that one. Needles to say i'm getting more done since I have a few weeks more time at hand now(yay vacation).
And Merry Xmas all

Excellent work. Have you done the songs only with XW-G1? The song "Darkhouse NightScreech" could end immediately. CONGRATULATIONS.
Thanks David and yes all sound come from XW-G1 only, I've used solosynth for bass and the G1 drumkits then recorded it in sample looper. The screeching solosynth is for download I called it "circuitbend". I've recorded many samples just with the sample looper. But am starting to get the hang of making nice and clean drumbeats by setting the velocity of each drum to an appropriate level.

I've been thinking about it for quiet a while show and tell about how I did
a patch or sequence or solosynth and delving in midi related things to do.
Well I'm not a writer my English not that good most stuff I want to know
I just search for it on the web specially youtube if I see or read something
interesting I try it out on the synth to see if its possible mostly it does.
The hardest thing would be keeping track of what I did on the synth by
repeating the process I can back track and save a step by step file of
each changes it gets messy if you not name the project properly.
That how I go at the synth for starters.
Some subject are already tackled on the forum that should provide
a decent knowledge base sometimes I look something up in the search
bar. What I can't find will be turned in a question to forum members.
The manual lacks a bit of explanations and examples especially the last
Mike Martin did nice work showing a how to basis. Still I would know more
of the knobs and midi assignments stuff, Effect editing and doing the
complicated stuff inside performance mode as well tone editing the PCM tones
or better yet recreating PCM by the monophonic solo synth. So many Ideas
while I write this.
The performance mode patches are nice examples but the functions that are
available for Performance patches have a medium to master level there are so many
possibilities to do something and doing it right makes it a bit complicated never the
less doable.
I though the Japanese site would have P1, G1 users with patches for solo synth ,
sequence or performance patches none of that as of yet not found by me at least,
Still there are people out there not on the forum doing cool stuff I hope they find their
way here to share their awesomus and findings
