Whatever the text is a "lie" or incorrect, may be. I give credibility to musical themes.
I am in the world of music thirty-six years ago, but I've been creating music since eight months ago.
LOL I occasionally listen to you're ....music and expected that much . keep going somehow I think one day u make something exceptional, try some equalizing and dsp on your creation it will broaden your music compositions.

Can you post the model number and/or link to the pedal you are looking at?
Its the Apextone AP PD 01 Sustainpedal and Apextone AP PD 02 Sustainpedal blok
-
Is an Apextone pedal also good with the XW they say it supports Casio but I want to be sure it is.

I love brasses they give such a full range of harmonic color I had to try it out I was thinking. Count bassie, Don Ray , Duke ellington, Grover Washington Jr. So here it is a sort of brass-hit, Softbrass I've eq't for a softer edge,CitybrassXl is louder ive added delay effect I've discoverd that you can create an effect specific within performance mode patch you create that cool.
So it is more like a brass hit you can alter each instruments ,octave shift ,transpose and effect to change how it sounds.
Enjoy.
I've edited them again today new upload deleted the other changed the step sequence same stuff different beat added a third.

Excellent I was baffled about the 303 you've posted earlier did some crazy music making with it, Another opportunity to learn how these new tones can be created.

Performance mode patch kinda my favorite you can use k1 to k3 knobs for personal preference,
Mine preference Cutoff 45, Release 22, Chorus 45. The main global effect changes the sound color
but I noticed it can add texture which you like from an EP. I also like to have the Hold button with it.

a nice ambiance different then say a longer release which gives more of a long flat after sound. The hold button is the strangest
thing but a nice one
LOL made an mistake you can find it in the download section of this forum .

I come across music with such an interesting composition which I want to recreate on my own with whatever I have in this case the XW-G1. This composition help me to find out if the G1 alone would be capable giving such an interesting vibe of what song I've heard to be recreated on it.
I've watched the latest Fast and Furious movie where there was this scene half way the movie the music started with a crunchy distort organ with a slight delay followed by a pounding beat. Did not exactly made it as in the movie but recreating something with only the G1 capability's was lots of fun and potential I used the looper for the drums , organ ,guitar riff which I recorded as layers. The bass drum where in lo-fi dsp setting, the organ came from a standard performance called dist organ which I modified a little.
I have not made it in a performance mode yet. The effects are great I wish that part was expanded greatly to fine tune each sound patch how you like i'm still discovering .
Enjoy.

The song created by the author of the article had to be one of the better demo of the XW series on its own right.

I've read about Akai mpc sampler which is very popular one odd thing I found about it while it is a sampler most pro user made their samples on a computer and then imported it to the mpc I thought that strange.
I was reluctant to buy the G1 also cause of the I think its 12 bits. But the thing is you can import better quality samples into the G1. The thing that convince me to purchase the synth was this article http://www.emusician.com/eq-mag/0765/casio-xw-g1-synthesizer/149555 I knew it was okay then cause of the controller capabilities of the P1 and G1.
It can fully automate through midi with other device samplers, synth and software like Ableton , Music creator , Cubase. I wanted an Korg Kronos which support multiple sampling high bitrate etc but I cant afford it .
Casio G1 is a true Groove synth affordable. My gig now is I want key's big key creative freedom less to carry around just a few things that worked out for me, the only limitation would be my own creativity. True there are stuff I wish that was their like time-stretching , warping. Real-time switching between looper banks I'm still discovering . But this was my reason to purchase this synth .

I'll check into this...
Thanks Mike, Excellent infomartion from the XWG1 clinic, You've demonstrated new way's that will change my current work flow and idea's creating new performance, tone's ,step sequencing and sampling things I did not found out yet I could do another way round.

I've sampled some in the sample looper but i cant see how to adjust the volume of the looper itself. When I'm in the mixer menu there isn't any option that indicate the looper. Is there any other way in the G1 to do that else I have to sample on the G1 upload it to the computer manually adjust it and back to the G1 which I find to tedious to do for every sample.

Hello fellow forum people, I am really craving a sampling keyboard, but there seems to be only two fairly new ones on the market, korg ,and casio. I really love my xw-p1 (among the best synths ever) and I thought wow! it would be cool to have both xw-p1 and xw-g1. I just have a couple of questions . Does the g1 sample across the keys polyphonically? like a sample of someone laughing, then you play a bunch of keys and it sounds like a lot of people laughing. Can you play samples in the sequencer? If the xw-g1 does these two things , I am going to save up for one. Thanks to any one who takes the time to give me the info on the xw-g1.
To answer your question, Yes the G1 plays polyphonic across the keys you just have to select the sample from U200 and upward where they reside. Its possible in performance mode to give each sample a specific range on the keys. Playing samples from the sequencer is not possible at least as far as I know you can assign them in performance mode by assigning them at either zones or as you play select one from the banks to the looper and that will be selected to play in performance mode, The note mode of the synth is also possible to select as an additional fifth but it will only overlap the first four zones. Although the Step Seqeuncer doesn't play samples you can however use the phrase sequencer to build a pattern sequence on the way u layout your samples on keys or zone by building your own pattern. Say for instance on the left side you have all these bunch of samples on each key and right you have your pcm like piano etc. With the phrase seqeunce you can program your own sequence pattern for the samples and the arpeggio for the pcm sounds. The korg is also pretty nifty synth portable lots option I will soon add this one to but I like sound creations from the XW_G1 also which expands it even more Cheers

I use Audicity, and I installed ASIO4ALL. But only one speaker is working when playing. I adjusted the balance in control panel, but still only one speaker working. And there is still a small lag when playing.
The lag can be due to the wrong Asio settings sample rate can be to high then your computer can handle or other asio related stuff, Have you tried to update your sound drivers, most computers have Realtek chipsets in them.

I like the idea of taking one live take what you did which how I did it myself to,
I found out that I can do live sessions on performance mode in addition with
the looper.

Hello:
Thanks for sharing your experiments. BR_014 looks like a spy movie.
Thanks it's a bit sloppy, I really want to get into it and made a few idea's of me discovering this synth. My next songs will be short and clean with new created sounds which I will add to the forum with each song.

They are not songs in whole but my trip into discovering what the XW_G1 has to offer on a sound exploration trip.
I was experimenting by creating sounds in manipulating every synthesis feature in the G1 dsp, osc etc using the standard patches I used standard perfomance mode sounds and step seq rhythms. I also was trying out the Looper in combination creating beats, I would first do a drum beat and build the sound up each layer what to me sound nice enough by ear. Enjoy.
Everyting recorded in portable recorder start your volume low first please .
BR_006 This one I made inspired by the movie Tron.
BR_008 A looper experiment I used the step seqeuncer salsa to build up the layers onward.
BR_014 I programmed a beat in the Looper and played the whole combination with the conga's from a performance patch.
BR_021 This is one totally an improvisation I played with a range of sound and recorded snippets what I played in the looper
creating each layer, or played a sequence by ear while manipulating each synthesis of that sound. This one a bit loud you might turn it low first specially the bass.
Enjoy my sound discovery.

I have to add that the G1 is limited to four layers but it allows you to craft a nice solo patch with .....drum-rolls....your own samples to the patch that alone gives it a wide expanding range . It also means in my opinion and because I learned of this while trying to create a nice solo synth your not limited to the pcm alone basically the G1 can create infinite sound patches beyond what already on the G1.
