  1. Hello everyone so I am thinking of making mp4 files of myself playing and singing on my piano.I looked into how I could do that directly to my pc to make it sound nicer and I have come to you all for guidance so heres the equipment I have gathered so far.So I have a 4 pole 3.5 mm audio cable male on each end and then a 4 pole 3.5 mm audio splitter (so one side is male the other side is two female one for microphone and one for headphones)now I believe if I just connect the 4 pole 3.5 mm audio male cable from the casio to my pc thats gonna record like a mono sound I believe which doesnt sound very good so I think you have to connect the audio splitter to the casio first then connect the 3.5 mm male cable to the microphone port from the audio splitter to the microphone port to my pc and thats gonna make a better sound I believe but Il have to test that when they arrive. My question is if I then also connect a usb microphone would my pc pick up the piano playing and my singing at the same time while recording from those two sources? Thank you for your help since Im not very knowledgeable in this field since I started last week.
  2. I see well I was scared at first with doing it with water because i feared that some of it would seep or drip into the inside components but I guess Il give it a try
  3. I have one with synthetic ivory and eboy keys so I was wondering how to clean it as I do think all that moister absorption has made it feel a tad greasy.
  4. Ohh I see thanks for the help.Well I guess we will have to wait for midi 2 to be released for two way communication if what I read is true.
  5. Ive been trying a couple of apps from the app store like fl studio to try and use new sounds on my casio cdp s350 but I dont know how to do it or if Im even doing it right.I can press a key on my piano and the app will sound it out on my phone but I want to the the reverse and I l know you can like use daws with vsts from your pc to your piano but I dont even know how that works exactly so if theres anyone that can shed some light on the entire process that would be helpfull.
  6. Is it possible to convert mp3 files of piano tutorials from online to midi and then load it into the app.I see the midi files you provide but I dont see the files I converted from mp3 to midi
  7. I know the cheaper ctk models have an option to insert a new sound to the length of the entire piano so the more expensive cdp-s350 should also have it but I cant find where it says that it can.
  8. I was wondering if this would work and if you would need any converters because I would like to try and buy a microphone if I can use it with the s350 and if I can add like effect or vocoders through pc software.
  9. Im thinking of buy the pedal but I dont know if its the correct polarity for the casio so I was wandering if anyone knew if it is or how to change its polarity.
  10. So would you say for it to be compatible it loses in quality compared to other sounds in the piano
  11. When I see the listing of voices on some pianos (like the casio cdp s350)after the standard voices I see their general midi counterparts but I have no idea how the two differ
  12. Are the ones you use similar to the eneloops I have that are 1.2 volts?
  13. I see well thank you for the info, its a shame because using rechargable batteries would have been nice as a way to save money but its better if I dont damage the piano I guess.
  14. The manual sometimes specifies six alkaline batteries and sometime just says six batteries so I was wondering if anyone knows or has tried to put in different batteries because I have eneloop rechargable batteries but I wouldent want to break the piano withought knowing.
  15. Well sir I can definitelly say you more than answered my question so much so that I didnt even understand some of the techincal stuff you were telling me but if most of the people are as helpfull as you are here, then Im happy to be apart of this forum.Originally I was deciding between the casio cdp s350 px s3000 and roland fp 10 with the roland even being just 40 dollars more than the s350 in my country but after your guyses help I think as my first instrument Il have to get the s350 as I think the many features it has for that price is unmatched but,I will post more frequently if I have any other questions. Thank you.
