  1. Feels like the first time

This is my stage setting for Feels like the First Time by Foreigner.

It has an organ sound in the lower part of the keyboard and the arpeggiated sequence from D6 upwards. All you need to do for that sequence is press D6. You won't need the other notes unless your band transposes it. The arpeggio consists of 6 notes, each of which make up one beat. It is set to the correct time for the track, but if your band deviates slightly from that tempo just press the note again on one of the beats. I tend to press it at the start of every bar regardless just to keep it nicely synced. If you tend to play it at an entirely different speed, then use the TEMPO button in conjustion with - & + buttons beside it to select another speed.

I have not included a synth lead as I usually play that on another keyboard. You can choose your favourite one and add it in, or if you get stuck let me know and I might be able to help.
I hope you like it. 🙂

  2. I just died in your arms

Hello. I have just made this stage setting for Cutting Crew's song "I just died in your arms tonight".
I have arpeggiated the double notes so that they sound very even and mechanical, and there is also another arpeggiator which adds a bit more life to it, I think. I had a third one which was even better, but I decided to reluctantly delete it to give the melody more strength.
This is one of my first goes with the arpeggiator - or indeed any arpeggiator - and I am surprise how much fun it is to both program and play.
.The stage setting has a piccalo, synth, synth strings & a cello.
I hope you like it. 🙂

  3. Locked out of Heaven

Here is my stage setting for Locked out of Heaven. It features a buzzy synth sound on the lower notes and a cool sireny thing with lots of portamento for the strange slidy notes on the upper three octaves. You can either just hold down one of the notes to get the siren or play them one after the other in semitones. I hope you like it. ☺️

  4. Galileo organ (on ipad) controller

This is my Stage setting for PX-5S, designed to control the Galileo organ app.
I have mapped it in the following way, so that the PX will control the following things in Galileo:
    Slider 1: Upper drawbar 16'
    Slider 2: Upper drawbar 51/3'
    Slider 3: Upper drawbar 8'
    Slider 4: Upper drawbar 4'
    Slider 5: Upper drawbar 22/3'
    Slider 6: Upper drawbar 2'
    Knob 1: Upper drawbar 13/5'
    Knob 2: Upper drawbar 11/3'
    Knob 3: Upper drawbar 1'
    Knob 4: Vibrato on/off

    Pitch bend wheel: Pitch bend
Mod wheel: master volume. I have set this for a range from 50 - 100 (I anticipate using it at about 50 but it is early days yet. Be sure to adjust it if necessary to how you want it.)

    Pedal 1: Rotary fast/slow
    Pedal; 2: Rotary brake

This is my first venture into the realm of midi, and also my first attempt to properly map organ controls. Please let me know if I need to make any changes - especially if I have left out something important. I hope to end up with the definitive Galileo controller at some point......... I also hope it may be of some use to you.

  5. OrgAnne, Jason & Terry

This is my favourite organ sound which I use a fair amount.
It is based upon Jaspeter's excellent 9 draw organ, which I have tweaked to my taste.
It has then been further tweaked by Terry. I am very pleased with the results. I hope that it may be of use to someone.

Pedal 2 controls the rotary brake
    Pedal 1 - rotary speed
    Knob 1 - vibrato/chorus
    Knob 2 - reverb/delay
Knob 3 - rotary fast rate
    Knob 4 - percussion volume
    Mod wheel - drawbar 1
    Sliders 1-6 - drawbars 2-7

  6. Star Wars Cantina Band

This is a stage setting for the Star Wars Cantina Band song.
It is not intended to be a replica of the instrumentation used in the film recording, but rather an attempt to capture the flavour of the piece which will work on both (Han) solo piano and in a (cantina) band.
It has a wah clav, steel drum & marimba mixed together on top and a synth bass on the bottom. I have gigged this song and this sound quite a bit and it tends to get a good reception. I hope you might like it. May the force be with you........ :-)

  7. Anne's Pipe Organ

This is my version of a full pipe church organ. It uses two zones, but the second is only to make the lowest note of the keyboard play an A5 (for use - should you wish - in Bach's Tocatta in Dm... ;-) ) Please me know if you wish me to upload another version with just one zone...
I have gigged this sound a lot and it sounds amazing through a PA. Here is a demo (with my apologies to Bach....)

  8. Police Siren

This is one of my favourite PX sounds. :-) An attempt to capture the old 2 tone police siren. This stage setting is a result of a collaboration between myself and Brad. (Many thanks Brad!) It has the siren sound at the bottom of the PX and the analogue lead sound from the Vintage keys pack at the top. The siren has been detuned so is particularly effective if played over the top of the rest of the band.... :-)

  9. Superstition

I now have a much better version of this, so felt I ought to replace my old, inferior one.
This stage setting is designed for use in a band and allows you to play both the clav and the horns on one keyboard. I have used the steely clav sound from the vintage keys selection and Brasssection mixed with a trumpet. I like the bite you get from the steely clav. I have added some portamento onto the brass section.
Better effects now also, I believe.

  10. Crocodile Rock

This is my stage setting for Crocodile Rock., The keyboard is split into two, with a rock piano sound at the bottom and a saw sound at the top end for the distinctive Croc Rock riffs. This sound has worked quite well for me but I am always keen to make it better.
Any comments / suggestions / improvements extremely welcome.

  11. Gimme Gimme GImme

Stage setting for the famous opening riff to "Gimme Gimme Gimme (A man after midnight)" by Abba. Two hex layers & a piano/strings tone combined to create a suitably OTT sound. Also a bass sound.
Suggest that you invest in some white flares, a blonde wig and/or a large medallion before attempting to download this sound.
Here is a demo of the sound. Perhaps it might also be useful for other situations where a big distinctive sound is required.

  12. Nights in White Satin

This is my Stage setting for nights in white satin. I normally play it in a band without a guitar, so I sometimes play a simple piano accompaniment to the iconic strings riffs. The PX is divided into 3 zones: piano at the bottom, strings in the middle & flute at the top.
The challenge was to get the strings sounding right: neither too legato or too detached, and with the right amount of swell. What I have done has worked for me so far, but doubtless can be improved upon. Any suggestions/coments welcome!
I have recorded an audio file of the strings & flute for you to hear:

I will be pleased if this is of use to someone.

  13. Anne's stage settings organiser

This is a stage settings organiser which I made to keep track of my stage settings. It consists of a series of tables set out exactly as the stage settings are laid out on the PX-5s. There is one with the factory stage settings, one with the factory settings in the alternative order, and several blank ones for you to keep a record of your own registration sets.
It fits perfectly onto an ipad.
I refer to mine all the time and could not manage without it.
I have two copies of it available: one in NUMBERS format for the ipad, and the other in EXCEL for windows.
The Excel version is the second file (19.48 kb).... and the numbers version is the first (211.73 kb). Both files are ZIPPED so you will need to unzip them before using them. (Let me know if you are not sure about how to unzip a file and I will help you - either here or in the Facebook group).
I hope it may be of use to you.

  14. Ham N Eggon

This is my first attempt at an organ sound. It is not very good yet and I had no intention of sharing it in this state, but it was suggested that I post it in case anyone fancied having a go at tweaking it (or performing major surgery on it....). I like the basic sound, but it does not cut through a mix very well. Not sure why - but that is not surprising as I do not know what I am doing.....
I should mention that this sound is derived from an excellent 9 layer organ sound which was posted here by someone else. That sound is very good, but not the sound which I am looking for - if that makes sense...hence my efforts.
