I'm finally confident enough on my performance to record it and post a video on YouTube so my family and friends can watch it and now I'm wandering what's the best way to do it with my CDP-S350.
I found a lot about techniques (specially concerning the video part) on this very thorough guide, but I'm now having second thoughts on how should I capture the audio part. At first, I tried using the built-in performance recorder and them exporting to a flash drive, but that seems to generate only MRF and SMF files, neither of which are real audio. I think I only have the option using the headphone audio and recording directly on my laptop, but there's two issues: 1) it never sounds that great when I practice with headphones on (could be on the headphones, but they are pretty decent, so I don't know) and 2) I wouldn't be able to hear what I'm playing.
I can't really afford to buy an audio interface or other equipment, as they're expensive where I live, but I thought that I could perhaps use one of those "Y" splitters or something like that. Anyways, I thought I could first count on your expertise, has anyone got any tips for me?
Thank you!
