  1. i know what you mean, i like also the px s1000(is is the same than 3000 rught?)..even at first it seems like px5s keybeb is better, also because i am used to it..but i am sure that if i have pxs1000 i would really enjoy it
  2. i think s1000 can be used as master, keybed is nice (not as good as px5s), and is small in size..of course it would need a surface control in addiction to it
  3. yes arturia...not that cheap though..i have tried to look for it in the shop to test the keybed, but i could not find it. is there a mk2 versione right? how different is from the original? btw..i could test the px1000..and indeed totally different form the px5s..that has a really nice keybed...but was too bulky for my need
  4. Hello, i am looking a good instrument to be used mainly as a master controller. Since few months I have an upright piano and now when i need to use cubase and vst instruments i feel that i need a good action keyboard. I had a px 5s( whose keyboard i like it a lot) and i think that px s1000 ha the same keyboard right? Most of master hasn't got a keyboard so good, at least not for this price. Moreover i love the size of the s1000, with its 10cm in height and the least size in depth is very good for my need. I am asking you if it is ok to use it as a master..i know it does not have nothing but the key to send as midi..bit does it do good? thanks
  5. i know i would rather have a quick procedure, but if the thing is easy like Jockeyman123 says, it should a matter of couple of minutes
  6. yes, you said the 2 best solutions. One is the sliding table under the desk, i am trying to make a plan for a desk like that, and can be a good solution. The other one also must be a good one. I am used to my x type stand, where it is not easy to change height with the keyboard sitting... that springed pin in the center of the X it is not easy at all (also because it is old and stiff). But as you say, other stand, like yours, might be much better in doing that. And yes at this point the minimum height became important! Not many has minimum at 50 cm..that i think should be the minimum at this point any stand that has an easy way to change the height, could be good, as long as it has the proper minimum height
  7. i have found this also https://www.thomann.de/it/roadworx_multi_electric_stand.htm much cheaper , could be a solution, especially if i find a second hand one!
  8. can you adjust the stand up or down with the piano sitting on the stand?no much effort?
  9. Basically is what i wanto to do, but i did not think of the wheel on the stand that coul make easier to slide it in/out. Can slide it even without though...but the main issus is another: to have the stand moving up and down in height so to fit well when under the table and be at right playable height when out. As i use my table for work also and i spend many hours sitting at it, the main need is that the table is at ergonomic standard..for me at an height of 72/73 cm. Put a keyboard under it means to put it at a quite low height...
  10. i donìt have a musik desk, as i us emy desk for my work with computer non music related also. I think music desk are too high to be confortable for a long session to comnputer work. That s just beacuse they need the space for the keyboard under it
  11. lenght is surely an issue, (unless 73 keys master) but if i change my desk lenght is solved, while height still would be an issue as if i want a table at normal height then the keyboard on stand should be a perhaps too low height. Would be great if exists a keyboard stand than can easily be lowered and lifted.. btw do you know of anything similar?
  12. i know an i totally agree. To keep to PX5s i would need to change my desk, and make big change in my setup for work/play. Nothing impossible, it will have its cost and its difficult to find the proper desk. I need to keep the px5s on the stand just under the desk wher ei work, and slide it out when i'll use it. My desk now is not enough large to accomodate so need to find a desk which is large enough between the legs and also tall enough to have the desk at right height and accomodate the keyboard under the table at not so low height (px5s is really tall..)...If i would find a good keyboard to replace PX5s it would be easier, but i see it is not easy to replace it. EVen if i use it mainly as master controller it still very good and i don't see better or similar keybaord around But for what i have see now the only keyboard i could use keeping my desk is the Studiologic 73 keys. It is nice, though the key action....different world compare to PX5s, and also i don't know how i will react using a 73 being used to 88
  13. Hello, finally i bought un acoustic piano and for space reason i might need to give away my Casio PX5S. I need a smaller instruments to put under the desk or when needed keep on the table. Now as first i say that is almost 10 year i have casio digital piano, first PX3 and now PX5 and 99% of th etime i used just as master controller. When i wanted play piano i se the piano with a vst instrument, and also i use the piano for programming with pc. So wether i know of the very nice potential of the caso piano i found myself using it only for the nice feeling of the keys and action, in a way seems kind of wasted. SO now that i need to have more space available i am considering 2 option. Get a master controller Studiologic SL73, that is shorter, nice keyboard but not as good as the px5s. Otherwise could get a CDP s100, still smaller than the PX5S, not as small as Studiologic but at least ihave an addon, the speakers. What i don't like of it is that there is no possibility to "split" the keyboard, and this is somehting i might need, for example when using with VST and want bass on left and piano on right. The keyboard of CDP also is not as good as PX5S, which remain a very nice instruments..though an old project. What i would like to know is about the ossibility of splitting the cdp, and also, towho have experienced it, what is the feeling to downgrade form 88 to 73, this is in case i chooe Studiologic Thanks for opinion and info! p.s. i might consider the px1000, which should have better keyboard than cdp(the same of px5s?) and also speakers and probably better midi capabilities..if i find a good second hand
  14. i found it..on the preset i was using no other midi signal was going thorugh...
  15. ok i'll give a try. How do i control this? is it in the preset settings?stage settings?
  16. do you use the original pedal?don't find it so nice
  17. i m not sure which side go to the floor with px5 pedal http://www.stefanocapasso.net/pedal.jpg this is the side i put on the floor, as it keeps the pedal firm is that correct? anyway i think better to buy a better pedal like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/RockJam-Professional-Electronic-Keyboards-Polarity/dp/B01C5G2UYK/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=pedal+piano&qid=1614197072&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExRkxPVzcxTzc0SkQ3JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTQ1NTE1Mkw3VVFITjAzRFg1ViZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMDkwMDAzMlUwSFlFWk1QRUZZOCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
  18. i see there are 2 touch parameter, Touch and Touch velo...should i work to both?
  19. is there a suggested setting a part of the default?
  20. no..where i do that?on px3 i never tpouch it.,.so i think it was the default
  21. I know it's not reasonable, but i note a difference: i have used for years a PX3 as master to play vst Ivory piano. Today i have tried for first time to play IVORY with px5s and..to me it seems different Don'tknow why, can't hear the piano clear as i remember it was when played with px3 Is that possible? also i think the pedal have a role on it, i have the one that come with the paino while i use to have a better on ebefore, and i notice that when using it also it is not like when i used the one before Please share your opinion Thank you
  22. right... a part of knobs and sliders, are other switch sending midi control to use within daw?
  23. one thing. I am mostly using the piano with pc (piano output is not even connected). Setting local on or off, doesn't seem to change anything, does it?
  24. Hello i have just become a px-5s owner. I was a px-3 limited edition owner, and i traded it with px-5s because i wanted something newer and i was attracted from knobs and slider to use with my vst instruments I must say i am little bit disappointed from the change, i have the feeling that it was not much an improvement this change, and it cost me more than 100 euro...the problem is that i though it was a newer instruments, also in terms of engineering, and software. May be when i'll learn more i'll be more satisfied with it... ANyway, i am trying to configure it with cubase as the main use form me is master controller with pc. I can see the slider works straight away with my vst instruments. But knobs seems to do not respond, i have googled around but could not a find a straight point where to learn thi, which seems quite complicated though. I have been able to go in the edit KNob, and i can see i can change the value. In my vst i have enabled thge learn function, but whetever value put at the knob..nothing happen on vst Knob is active, slider works without problem, for what i can see, it seems n midi signals are sent to my daw SO please can you help me with it? Other thing..for the way i use it is needed to set local off, does it make differences..just in term of using with cubase? thanks a lot
