  1. Is it possible to have a slider assigned to volume control but have the volume set at zero and increase when adjusting slider? Basically I don't want to hear the tone assigned to slider one until I move slider up. I know I can assign the slider to on/off, but that's really not what I'm looking to do. Thanks. Oh, forgot. One more. Sorry for being a pain and I have searched this forum for some of my questions. Is it possible to have one slider assigned to turn one tone on and another tone off at the same time? This was a nice feature the Kurz had. Thanks again.
  2. Thanks everybody. I'm more used to the Korg/Kurzweil method of GUI. So far really liking the PX though. Just trying to find some workarounds for performance features and issues I've become accustomed to. Thank you all again.
  3. I thought the PX-5S had the feature of changing sounds without cutoff of sounds while using the sustain pedal. I'm finding that only works if I change tones. Since the PX is always in Stage Setting, there is always a cutoff of sound when changing to a different Stage Setting. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I swear I heard or read somewhere this was a feature of the PX-5S. Thanks.
  4. Just picked up the PX-5S last week. Just a few questions I can't seem to find on this forum. Is there a compare button anywhere? When I modify a stage setting I'd like to hear what the original sounded like before I write anything into memory. Also, a few times when messing with the sliders I will lose volume (I know some sliders are set to modify the volume) but when I change to a different stage setting I seem to have lost the volume on whatever different stage setting I hit. The only thing I noticed is there is some sort of asterix next to the numbers on the screen. I'm having a bit of a time getting my head around the GUI on this board. The first Casio i have owned. Really like the action. Thanks.
  5. Thank you, Mike, for you answer to my question. Just a couple more, please. Can I trigger a sound wav using the usb thumb drive? I know you can play back songs, but I just need to trigger a couple sound wavs. I think the organ sounds might be okay, but does the percussion work the same way a real Hammond works where if I'm sustaining a chord with my left hand, the right hand playing a melody will not retrigger the percussion until I let go of all keys? And just one more--getting back to my original question, is there a way in stage/performance/combi mode to use a button to turn on one tone while simultainously turning off another ,yet still sustaining first tone until I lift off the sustain pedal? I'm real close to picking up a Px-5S, just looking for any workarounds I might need to do in live performance using your keyboard. Thanks again.
  6. Considering purchasing the Px-5S, but what I would have a hard time without a feature that Kurzweil has where with the push of a button I can turn off and on sounds while holding the sustain pedal. For instance, I have a piano sound playing, I push a button to turn on strings. I can sustain the piano/string sound and push a button to turn off the strings sound and the string sound will remain on until I lift off the sustain pedal. Does the Px-5s have this feature or would I have to use the volume sliders everytime I need to turn off and on a particular combination of sounds? I hope I'm making myself clear. Thanks.
