  1. Somehow it goes into 'MultiRec' and it plays back more than one recorded phrase. So frustrating. How can I get out of Multi Rec mode? And why would it go into that mode anyway? I know there is possibly one mistaken key press that makes it all go wonky but what is that mistake? I'm spending hours on trying to solve this problem. Any suggestions?
  2. It is possible to record new notes over previously recorded notes. Is that what you may have done?" Yes, that's possibly what may have happened. However that means that when I 'clear' the pad it does not entirely clear but leaves notes behind, which seems very weird. I must be missing a key stroke somewhere so my clear does not completely clear. I'll keep working on it. Thanks!
  3. Brad, does this mean that the thumping sounds on my Pad 1 is a 'drum rhythm' as you are suggesting? Why then does it consistently remain in the pad even after 'clearing' it a number of times? Also, after I have recorded 16 bars of notes on the keyboard and playback, there are additional notes being played, sometimes two notes as the same time. (No my fingers are not that fat). It's definitely NOT playing back precisely what I have played into the pad. Is there another setting that I have set incorrectly?
  4. Thanks Brad. I always get no sound when I press a Phrase Pad button. I guess that means they are empty, which is good, what I want as I want to create my own music phrases. But when I press 'Start/Stop' I get this rhythmic thumping drum-like sound. I know it's not the metronome. But what is it? How do I get rid of it? Any suggestions? Thanks for your h elp Brad.
  5. Hi, I'm trying to record a melody into a phrase pad and then use that phrase to experiment with accompanying instrumentation. When I press the start-stop button and pad 1 I get a steady, thumping sound, like a drum beat. It's the same on Pad 2. It's certainly not a metronome. I go thru the steps to CLEAR the pad but the drum beat remains. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have been carefully following the manual instructions. I'm assuming the pad must be cleared before I record the notes into it.
  6. I am fairly new to Casio keyboards and would like to create a mock up for a string quartet on my Casio ct x3000. I can read and write music but slowly with the one finger method. Is there a way to easily edit a track when I hit the wrong keys? My Launchkey controller keyboard with Ableton can delay the actual saving of note entries and only saves it if you think it was done correctly. This is a great thing for someone like me. But I need to discover how I can work the Caso keyboard to delay the save OR easily delete and do it over. Finding good video tutorials for the Casio ct 3000 to write tracks for violin, then viola, then cello, then bass is so far impossible. Does anyone have a good video suggestion or maybe a home made set of steps that would help me? Thanks in advance. John
  7. Also Brad Saucier I downloaded your accordian file but couldn't listen to it. Couldn't open a XLT FILE iwth
  8. Thanks for your clear and prompt reply. Question: I want to record a melody line for about 16 bars and then listen to it repeatedly while woodshedding harmony notes (not recording them, just experimenting for starters). Is using phrase pads the best way to do this or should I be going to the sequencer mode. What would be the simplest way for now to do this considering I'm just learning. Thanks for your help.
  9. I keep repeating the steps to 'CLEAR' what's on the phrase pad. It says 'complete' but when I try to enter notes with record it plays some previous recording while I'm entering my new notes. It's as if the 'clear' never did work and the previous notes remained on the pad. Can someone please clear this up for me?
  10. I agree there should be an 'undo' button. I find myself having to shut off the entire keyboard and restart in order to get back to the function key and try again. Su rely there must be some way of avoiding having to shut it down.
