I'm going to add it in the General section as there is so much overlap between the G1 and P1.

File Name: PX-5S Organ Tones File Submitter: Mike Martin File Submitted: 08 Aug 2013 File Category: PX-5S Tones Here is a set of 9 organ tones. Each of these are variations on the factory presets with the DSP effects adjusted. They are all designed to work with one of the Organ Stage Settings such as 0-6 or 1-6 where the modwheel and pedal are already assigned to control rotary speed. Click here to download this file

The benefit for those of you without iPads is that the application makes it so easy to create Solo Synth sounds that I don't know that I would have come up with using the editor or the front panel. It is fast and easy. That means more free sounds for you. The other upside is the amount of time I've put in learning about the MIDI implementation on the XW-series. There are some other things that I believe are possible from the knobs using NRPNs that I didn't realize were possible before. So we'll be exploiting these features in new Sounds/Performances as well.

Concert Grand Piano with Release Key Noise

Xagerado, You're using BOTH the System and the DSP EQ. A couple users have reported that the DSP EQ is not being properly recalled with the tone. I think this may be the issue. If you eliminate the DSP EQ and only use the System EQ you should be able to get enough cut and boost where you need it. In the meantime, the team in Tokyo is checking out the issue with the DSP EQ.

Firmware updates aren't guaranteed, but I have a list of requests in and this in on the list. I don't know at this point how easy this one would be.

Help!! Pattern for wk-6500
Mike Martin replied to comeyucaseca's topic in WK-6500/6600 - CTK-6000/6200
I'm not familiar with Style Works. If you made the pattern in Style Works, why not simply change it there? I'll see what I can find out. -
After you make the change to the System EQ, are you Writinf the Stage Setting or tone? In order to save the EQ you need to write the Stage Setting.
-
Are you using the System EQ or the DSP EQ (insert effect)? As mentioned before it would helpful if you posted a file.

We're aiming for the end of September.

Xagerado, After you made the changes, you're pressing the WRITE button and saving the Stage Setting or saving the tone?
-
Yes you can control the volume of the .wav playback. You can assign a slider or knob to control it. How are you adjusting the "brilliance"? Can you upload your file as an example? Do you have v1.10 installed?

Xagerado, I'll see what I can come up with next week but I'm away from my PX-5S for the next several days. -
Correct way to connect MIDI Solutions Pedal Controller?
Mike Martin replied to AlenK's topic in General XW Series Discussion
I think You can program the box so you don't have to turn off Local control but it still requires the MIDI out connection for power. -
Layers? Can't figure out how to get more than 4
Mike Martin replied to Rayman33952's topic in Privia Pro PX-5S
14 layers technically. A Hex layer tone can be made up of up to 6 layers. There are already some examples of orchestral and other textured sounds that utilize all six layers. If you use two Hex layers on zones 1 and 2, that is 12 layers. You can then add piano and another sound on zones 3 and 4. The possibilities are endless. -
Pedals from Casio, Korg, Kurzweil and M-Audio all work with the XW

Change polarity pedal and names for WAV files
Mike Martin replied to Xagerado's topic in Privia Pro PX-5S
The PX-5S automatically detects pedal polarity. Plug in your pedal before you turn on the PX-5S and your pedal will work. In regards to the .wav file name, that feature has been requested but we can not guarantee future firmware updates. -
It is possible, but I have a rather hectic schedule this month. in fact I'm still trying to figure out where I'm going to be each week in August. If it is going to happen it will be closer to the end of the month. Stay tuned. BTW: I saw you post on the Yahoo users group. It has been rather inactive. In fact I thought I read that Yahoo was shutting those down. Anyway, message received. I'll see what I can do.
