  1. Answer: Please turn off the Chord Sync function when recording drums part on the phrase pad. With the Chord Sync function on, it is looking for parts in C major only so later on it can be transposed into any key. Notes not in C major (including drums) won't be recorded properly.
  2. @rsaintjohnThanks for taking the time to give our products a try. 😁
  3. In Logic, try sending a CC122 message with a value of 0
  4. I'm not sure that keyboard has a "Local off" parameter. You could simply turn down the volume of the keyboard...
  5. The dealer in Minneapolis is Schmitt Music. They have several locations around town. https://www.schmittmusic.com
  6. I'm sorry Monia, but there is not a Windows 10 driver for the CTK-800. The driver for that keyboard supported Windows XP but not 64-bit. Some users have indicated that they have been able to get this to work:
  7. @Bohemian This thread is over 5 years old.....Is there a reason you're posting here? Casio introduced a new product at a price nearly 6-9x higher than our most popular products like a Privia PX-S1000. The price points of the Grand Hybrid make them out of the range of our typical (MI) music dealers. That means you're looking for piano dealers not traditional MI stores. For Casio that meant entirely new distribution than any other product in our line...in a market where many "traditional piano stores" are closing their doors. The Grand Hybrid as you know was developed in collaboration with C. Bechstein. Do you know how many Bechstein dealers there are in the United States? There are two. So that also meant that we couldn't rely on existing C. Bechstein dealers for distribution. So our strategy from day one was to keep distribution very exclusive and limited. That being said, we continue to open new dealers all the time. Both the GP-310 and GP-510 are selling extremely well. Actually it has been a record year. I'm sorry you don't have a local Grand Hybrid dealer, we're working on increasing our distribution all the time. During Covid-19 that has been an additional challenge.
  8. Sorry Alex, I wasn't aware. Been busier than ever and unfortunately I don't think anyone ever reported anything to Casio customer service.
  9. I’m already in a dialogue with Casio HQ about this. I’ll keep everyone posted.
  10. Nice thought Jokeman, Firewire unfortunately as a format at this point is dead. There were a few keyboard products that supported Firewire audio directly. I was actually involved directly with the development of mLan (Kurzweil / Presonus / Yamaha) and other Firewire products for years. USB is fast enough - the MIDI Spec still is the ultimate bottle neck. Doesn't matter if it is USB 2, 3 or anything else. MIDI has a set transfer "baud rate" even if it is running on a faster "pipe". Give me a few days to dig into this issue and try to replicate in on my end and then report to Japan.
  11. I'll do some testing on my setup this week and let you know what I find out.
  12. This would new my guess as well. We'd need to know more about your setup.
  13. The DRIVER for Windows is written by Microsoft.
  14. Jimmy, To record audio you will need to connect the audio output of your Privia to the inputs of your audio interface. The Privia does not transmit audio over USB.
  15. His issue was resolved quickly because he was able to get it swapped from a local dealer where he purchased it. As we've discussed, you purchased yours from a dealer that shipped the unit out of state, violating our policies. Getting parts from overseas when all shipping lines are backed up and coordinating in-home service during Covid hasn't been easy, so we appreciate your patience.
  16. Did anything get spilled into the keyboard? Across a range of keys like that would be highly unusual but I would suspect something may have happened to it before you purchased it.
  17. Hook, sorry for the trouble feel free to message me directly and I'll work on getting you fixed up. I need your serial number, the dealer where you purchased it and your location. Take care,
  18. Hi Bohemian, Where are you located and where did you purchase the GP-300? Yes, this is correct. Casio can arrange this although obviously in the last 11 months this has been a little challenging. Casio support is still all working from home which does add some delays in response time. You can feel free to message me direct regarding this matter and we'll make sure that you get this fixed up while you're under warranty.
