  1. Thanks Brad, That makes sense then. cheers, carl
  2. Hi, I watched clinic 2 and can create a phrase and assign it to a zone diving into the stage setting controller edit. What confuses me is the phrase button. If I choose a stage setting, and press phrase, and start, it plays a phrase. And different stage settings have different phrases applied in this way. How is this phrase assignment different than assigning a phrase to the zone at the controller edit level. I wanted to create a drum phrase on zone 1 and piano phrase on zone 2 of stage setting. I turned off all zones but zone 1, and set the tone to standard drums. Then using the phrase record buttons, I was able to create a new phrase at phrase 100, and named it. Then I went into the controller edit for zone 1, set the range to just a few keys and set the phrase. That works perfectly. Then I turned off zone 1 and turned on zone 2 and added a piano tone. With the arpeggio select button off, I went into phrase record again at phrase 101, and created a new 2 bar empty phrase. Then the problem... when I went into overdub mode to record the piano phrase... it started playing the phrase on zone 1, and when I tried to play the keyboard, it only played drum sounds... even though zone 1 was off, and zone 2 was on. I couldn't hear the piano. When I went out of record, the piano came back and all was normal... Really confused, any help is appreciated. thanks, carl
  3. Thanks Scott! I see that now, it's down in step 5... they should move that higher up in Step 4, because you can't do the stuff in step 4 until you insert, which was confusing. thanks again, carl
  4. Hi, When I try to edit a song, I scroll down to Track Edit, and select enter. But this just takes me to a screen that simply says >end. How do add sequential number, phase number, repeat, and note shift from this point. thanks, carl
