Yes Andrew, you might be right that I need a preamp or mixer. I connected Quik Lok 2x6.3mm Ma ST > 1xXLR Fe 1.5m but didn't hear anything from the microphone, only some interference.

I want to play the .mid and .midi song files I have in the root of the USB stick. Do I need to put them in a folder with specific name? It either says media full or no media. I have 5GB of 32GB free so definitely not full. Does the USB drive need to be formatted in any specific way? How do I play full midi songs on the PX-560M?

Shall the XLR to 1/4 inch adapter to line in mono be 1/4 Inch TRS or 1/4 Inch TS? For connecting a Sennheiser Microphone 845S to the Casio PX-560MBE.
