  1. If anyone is interested, I've created a CT-S patch script for Cakewalk (after several late nights!) - check out my YouTube video (https://youtu.be/gAvZB7aM0cM) - there's a link to the file in the video description. It was a quite a time-consuming journey to get it working but in the process I've realised that DAW software is now so heavily reliant on soft synths to make sounds, that hardware instruments have been overlooked and old-fashioned MIDI IN/OUT sequencing seems to be a thing of the past (yep, my Atari ST is gathering dust in the attic!). But with the patch script (and Casio's CT-X ones), you don't need to keep looking up bank and program numbers - can get on with creating music with the wide palette of sounds the CT-S (CT-X) offer. All the best.
  2. Looking forward to the big reveal later today. I hope there will be plenty of editing and sound design features in the synth and vocoder sections for those who want to customise and create new sounds. In particular, processing internal rhythms through the vocoder would spark creativity. I have already been processing the CT-X through software vocoders (in Reason and Arturia plug-ins), both live and in mixes, so to have that level of functionality in a piece of hardware would be exciting. And please can there be MIDI tempo sync (with 5-pin DIN sockets), internal audio recording, and a manual that makes sense?! Fingers crossed!🤞
  3. "CT-S1000V" appears on a leaked photo, so that would suggest a Casiotone of some description - and "AiX Sound Source with Vocal Synthesis" also confirms some of the thoughts on this thread. The screen, button and data wheel layout also look similar to CT-S400.
